About Us.
I share our organic homestead, called Byther Farm, with my loving partner, Mr J and our cat, Monty.
We are a fifty-something couple who live on a smallholding in Monmouthshire, Wales. We are going green and creating a gentler, cleaner and more healthy life for our family.
There is a large organic kitchen garden with no dig gardening raised beds and young food forest in which to grown our fruit and vegetables.
I'm currently exploring permaculture farming as a way of life.
We keep hybrid chickens and also have breeding flocks of Jersey Giants and Australorp chickens and Aylesbury ducks.

I changed all garden spots to no-dig and there really are WAY less weeds! 😁😊🌼I am soooo grateful! Spend more time enjoying the garden and less breaking my back 'weeding it'🌿😃

Your garlic does seem a bit small. Is it late winter or spring planted garlic? If so, that accounts for the size. I plant mine in late Sept and next July I harvest hand-sized bulbs. As for the kale, I'm surprised you don't net the brassicas against birds as many UKrs do. I net mine against cabbage butterflies that can do equal damage.

I got the from Aldi 2.99 for 2 - really pleased with how tomatoes are growing up them.
I have the spirals but what a palava to get them was told by Aldi HQ Thornbury stores had 40+ in stock rushed over manager did not know what I was asking for them a young man came up to us with 3 packs thats all they had manager had no idea where the other 37 packs had gone - but hay ho! thats life, still looking for more Great video as usual Thank You

Got confused, Liz - thought it might be a 'sharing' duet like as with Huw. I used to watch Tony C assiduously through 2019 into this year but found the preoccupation with extravagant spending of structures, kit and gadgets went well beyond my concept of gardening. His carrots must cost him 50p each! He's a canny lad and clearly has a great following. With my gardening being more primal I got breathless and his ultra- high-tech approach in 2020 ceased to be encouraging. A great lad but no longer my sort of gardener. Sorry that you did not feature. Do you blanche the kale before you freeze them? I live north of the 49 th in Canada. My tomatoes don’t have a poly tunnel.
