- We joined contemporary silversmith Ndidi Ekubia on a tour of some of her regular sources of inspiration and in her studio in Manchester. Whilst demonstrating the mesmeric process of raising, chasing and embossing her signature organic vessels, Ndidi discusses her love of pattern, the traditional tools she uses and her desire to create functional objects. The resulting 'Sparkle vase' is painstakingly hand-crafted by pushing and manipulating metal to its limits to create a textural, fluid quality to the surface.

I have never seen metalwork so beautiful or finely crafted!
Beautiful, quite magical 🙂
What a calming meditative practice and such an interesting process. It must feel overwhelming and so exciting to see your work on display at the V&A 💜I love hearing Ndidi's Manchester accent also. Thanks for posting.
I am in awe of Ndidi Ekubia's work.
Absolutely beautiful pieces, I enjoyed staring at this piece for an inordinately long time when I visited and I love the fact it was born in Manchester where I’m from.
❤ As a master silversmith trained at Goldsmith, nothing beats metal working. 😊 I know live in western Australia.
So beautiful ❤ The way the objects catch and reflect the light, the shadows enhancing the texture, all show the love and respect she has for her art.
That was absolutely beautiful! Thank you for sharing your art with us.
As you were working, I was thinking of all the words to describe your pieces, movement, sculptural, form and you described it that way too! You have a great eye for art. Cheers from Australia.
C'est superbe. Bravo madame et merci V&A.
