This is a song written by Schenker and José Luis Campuzano / Sherpa, then bass player of the greatest spanish metal band Baron Rojo. They wrote the song during the recording of Baron Rojo ´s third album Metalmorfosis, and MSG´s Assault Attack. Baron Rojo y MSG´s still alive and well...
Just seen Schenker in Detroit at a bar called Harpos about 6 months ago.incredible show-had to pinch myself a few times just to make sure i wasn't dreaming. There was about a few hundred people so i got to see him up close, was able to see the man the myth and he still is all that-looking forward to seeing the legend again.Screw Van Halen give me Schenker.
Love this song, pity it´s a little bit underrated on Michael´s career. One of the bests from Built to Destroy, along with Rock You to the Ground (or Heavy Blues or Walk the Stage, whatever its name is). Great to see it live! Thanks again Axe, your the man!
After a small tour around England, a second visit to the Greyhound saw them jamming with Michael Schenker, with whom they developed a close friendship, especially Sherpa, who co-wrote with Schenker the song Red Sky, which appeared in MSG's Built to Destroy album.
Thank you for trying to translate the comment,I know for a fact after studing Schenker for so many years is that he is at his best when he is not drinking just like any other human,
@brnleague99 the only reason was that Ozzy felt that Schenketr was asking for too much money! so Ozzy didn't wanna pay the price, am glad Schenker didn't get hired & came out with his own Group, which is what he wanted to do!!
alot of players stole riffs from Schenker he has more riffs than Blackmoore but Blackmoore has maybe the famous smoke on the water but Schenker has better ones.
They headlined Reading, had 8 charting albums, and Michael Schenker is cited as main inspiration by lots of guitarists. Anyway, what have you got to do with it? You don't play guitar.
When Randy Rhoads died the first person Ozzy asked to fill in for him was Michael Schenker. Problem was Ozzy found him to be greedy and arrogant. So it fell thru.
now there is a big difference if you have a couple of drinks if you are recording a new album and performing live and you been doing it for so long you can even intensify the performance but if you get so drunk that you can even tune the guitar that is real bad,I know Schenker fucked up in the UK,but there's no way Schenker plays better when he is hitting the bottle that is such BULLSHIT,How do you say BULLSHIT in swedish
Man, those solos are gems, absolutely incredible, there's all Michael's wizardry into them!! Very underrated song in Michael's endless catalog 🤘🤘
Nothing like hearing a Schemer solo from his flying V.
"Red Sky" Schenker, Barden, Glen, McKenna, Luis Campuzano

The main riff of this song was written by Baron Rojo´s singer and bass player, José Luis Campuzano
Oh, and by the way, Glen´s bass is very loud on this one! It really good to see him rocking along with Michael... :)

Yes
WOW, I did not know that. It would be totally cool to see Ozzy and Micheal play music. They should do it soon, Ozzys voice is not what it used to be.
I think some words of this song are different from those of "Built to destroy". Could you let me know what Gary said from 2:23 before the Guitar solo?
like today in California Sept 9, 2020
I have the whole concert on dvd. He's not drunk
