This song is easily one of Skillets greatest master pieces. The strings , the flow, the lyrical composition all converge together into a powerful anthem for us all. The part that gets me especially is the bulid up to the first chorus with jens soft vocals and then the instruments swell and burst forth with johns powerful voice leading the charge. Absolutely incredible.

Love how there's Linkin Park fans here. The same year they formed the band, I went into the Army but had no idea years later, and after his passing, my heart sank. Few years later, I lost my stepfather the same way. Music has been there for me all these years and I thank God for this band and so many others out there sharing God's love. Chester fought demons day and night and it was clear sign how the devil works. He comes to Steal, Kill and Destroy All that is good. May God bless his family, friends, and us who stood by them all those years. God Bless Skillet and their amazing music that has shined a light in this dark world. Peace and God Bless.

I just want to say thank you Skillet for answering the calling our Savior has placed upon you all. You have no idea what an impact your music has had for so many, including my son. Your music helped him get through some of the most difficult times in his life, throughout highschool, and even now as he serves in the Army. He constantly tells me if I've heard your most recent songs or albums and tell me it helps him get through each day, since military life can be very lonely and difficult at times. The odds of anyone from Skillet seeing this is next to nil but I wanted to say thank you (I have no doubt you receive many messages like this so I apologize for piling on). I’ve battled major depression since I was six. I’ve attempted to take my own life three times. Each and every day is a battle inside of me that so few truly understand. Long story short; my wife and son bought me this CD for Father’s Day 2020 specifically because of this song. They didn’t tell me about the song. Instead we were driving and it came on. It hit me like a rock and very, very few songs are able to do that (the last one ironically being Skillets own ‘Would it Matter’) I know this is too much information. I just wanted to give my sincerest thank you to Skillet, and particularly Mr. Cooper who wrote this, from the bottom of my heart.

Akhil Joseph I’ve tried to find Jesus. However attempting to take your life is apparently an unforgivable mortal sin (even more do with multiple attempts). I was kicked out of the Jehovah Witnesses (disfellowshipped). I tried to become a Catholic (my wife and son both are) but they openly stated they did not want me during the Right to Christian Initiation for Adults courses when I kept asking question (nothing rude of course but I had a ton of questions with each lesson). In the end they determined Catholicism was not “for me”. I’ve never felt lonelier at that point when two faiths boot you aside. I know what I did was unforgivable in Gods eyes. I also know what unfortunately awaits me in the afterlife. All I can do now is continue to try and be a good father and husband.
Steven Brown hope you get this , I am a Catholic too , cause that’s what I was born into . And I can tell you that Catholics have gone real far away form Jesus . You need to find who Jesus is , and there is only one place you should look for him in , which is the book he left back for you . Read the Bible man , and read the New Testament cause that’s where you can see who Jesus is . Read the book of John . And you will find him !

Find Him on your knees in prayer when you feel you are broken. Find Him in the red letters in the Bible: there you will see and feel His forgiveness and unwavering love for you and know that He willfully hung on that Cross (and suffered so much else before the Cross itself) to cover and erase each and every single one of those sins you think are unforgivable all so that you may know Him and His love for you in this life AND the next. Just find Him in other believers who can tell you their testimony and the truth that there is no place too far, no depth too low, no guilt or shame or sin too heavy we can be pressed down by that God cannot reach to and pull you out from under and into His grace and mercy. Listen to Jordan Feliz "Never Too Far Gone" or Memphis May Fire's "No Ordinary Love", then open your Bible (or Bible app!) and give Romans 8:38-39 a read and understand that God (not man who may profess to know God but does not follow the example of love unconditional that Jesus was, is, and will always be forevermore) loves you regardless of the stain of sin, He only desires that we let Him into our heart so that He can remove that sin and make us whole in, and only through, Him. I pray you hear Him when you call and that you'll find your way into His grace where you belong because you are already in His heart and your very name is engraved upon His hand ❤❤❤
Steven Brown, Jesus loves you man. He loves your family. Look up to the heavens and ask for strength and forgiveness, Jesus Forgives. The main thing is you pushed through and prevented your suicide and you're still with us. Prayers abound. I went through the same thing with depression in high school, I was bullied to the point where I tried to take a knife to my wrists and hang myself, but with Help and the Good Lord around me, I came through my dark times to find the light in Jesus Christ. He listened when I needed help and he rescued me. He will rescue you too. Open your heart. He will come to you. Knowing and believing in Christ is more than Religion, it is a Relationship with the Father.
This past weekend i have been drowning in my own grief, i watch a interview last night that skillet did and they mentioned this song; now im hooked, and my grief has decreased. Thank you

Skillet is one of the few reasons why I'm still alive. They've been one of the few that could keep me afloat in my darkest times, on days when I just want to go out and then jump down a cliff. Average 1.5 month ago i was started to prepare to my cooking compitetion. İt was an international compitetion so i wasnt expecting i would win it. But i started to prepare, day and night i was prepare while listening this song. And i said to myself if i wil i will listen this song nonstop and sang it whole night and name my knife Victoria just bc of this song. From now two day before i won and gain Gold medal in this international compitetion. and i was here. Thank you skillet for this masterpiece and help me for my compitetion. Now my knife name is Victoria and this is the song what inspired me for this name. İ will never forget this song and these days.
