From deserts to downpours you guys are working through some really tough elements. Such kindness from people in countries like Iran. Shame everyone isn't as welcoming. Keep safe.
Hi Brad! The elements in a way became our home, a great lesson there. Cultures differ and mostly the people are warm and hospitable we feel. Some more than others though, but never far away! Thanks! E&M
Oh that place is wetter than northern England this time of year....hope things dry up for you a bit. Really enjoying your videos, Thanks so much for sharing your travels. Go careful....
Hi Jody!! Filming in the rain certainly is a bit more complicated than a nice sunny day. Our camera (accept the action cam in the underwater housing) isn't weather-/waterproof and that causes problems with fog in the lens and sometimes the camera stops working properly. That's always a hurdle because we don't want to damage our equipment. Also it can be darn uncomfortable 😅 It's beautiful out in the rain though so we try somehow to shoot some nice footage! Thanks for your affirming comment 😊 Will be sure to keep on trying to capture the elements!
lovely video. Myself I always tried to eat something about an hour or two before camping and once I find a place the first thing I always do as my rule is set up my tent and sleeping gear, that way I am set. Only gotten rained on once and it sucked so lesson learned.

Cheers and safe travels!

Amazing scenery! It is interesting to see how you deal with the adventure of the road. I've been interested in doing cycle touring in Japan. Was it difficult to plan your route?
Hi Stephan! Japan quite easy to plan with Maps.me. Very detailed info and good roads with many amenities a long the way. Also camping is easy and generally save. It's great for touring, very interesting as well!! Thanks
Too much raining bro. I'm thinking you should choose a dry season for bike touring there in Japan. I wish a little bit longer vids like 15mins, I really enjoy watching your channel. 👍👍🚵♂️🚵♀️

Things are expensive in Japan. Maybe your next country to visit will be the Philippines. Warm to hot weather at sea level. Quite cheap for travellers. If you cycle the mountains, it's much cooler (15 C) and you smell the pine trees. Cycling the capital (Manila) will be scary due to traffic and congestion (culture shock). Maybe fly to Clark International airport (50 km N of Manila) to start the cycle trip.
Hi RPRIMICI! That is some great advise 👌🏼 Pine trees, 15C, affordable! This time around our budget won't cover that unfortunately. We will be sure to give a serious thought next time we are in the neighbourhood! Thanks for writing! All the Best! E&M
@@WheelstoWander Ok! Think about it. It's only a 4 hr flight from Japan so it's in the area. The mountains are only around 4500 to 5000 ft so it's doable by bike I think. Typical tourist visa is 6 months.
I didn’t realize it rained so much in Japan! I always enjoy your videos. There is such a calm meditative quality to the visuals & sound. Wheels to Wander Yes! Thank you. Wow. You must have a ton of video footage! Do you shoot in 1080p instead of 4K to save space on your hard drives? Looking forward to the rest of your tour of Japan. Hope it stops raining soon!
Our cameras (Sony A6000) are unable to shoot 4K, also we choose a medium quality codec to save some space and make editing a bit easier. Still we have several TB's of files. We would love to upgrade to produce better image quality (although we are happy with the current results :) but that's out of our budget at the moment. Also the story is most important and there is lots and lots to learn without having the latest and greatest... Thanks, the next episode is in the making!

I hope it's not a rude question but how do you guys make money? I'm keen to figure out how I could potentially afford to be on the road for this long. Thanks!
