Thank you so much for reacting to Nat King Cole. One of my favorites singers. Could you please react to Dream a little dream of me with Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong, Dinah Washington What a difference a day makes?
Every thing Stan has said about Nat King Cole is spot on. Nat King Cole was a national treasure and is. Every year at Christmas we hear him sing a few Christmas songs on the radio or internet, the most famous being The Christmas Song [Chestnut Roasting on an Open Fire]. The young don't know who he was, but they know "that guy" on that song...I first heard him sing on a record "Pretend" when I was a little kid, 2nd hand generation, with a stack of my aunt's 78 rpms. It was just a great voice I heard. He was a hell of a jazz pianist as well. Music is the universal language, and Nat was one of those that taught us that so well.
Later Ricky Nelson had resurrected this song, updated the style and got a hit out of it in 1964. The Very Thought of You", was Nelson's last US top-forty single for five years, peaking at No. 26.
You should consider, if you do any more Nat King Cole songs, A\B-ing them with versions from his daughter's (Natalie Cole) tribute album. I actually came to most of his versions late, after hearing her's. Maybe because it's a female voice singing to me, or just hearing them first, they're even sweeter.
Love Nat King Cole
Heaven's soundtrack...absolutely beautiful.

I love Nat. He could have sung the phonebook. And those strings...
When you consider what Nat had to put up with, being one of the first African American singers to make it big in the white, wide world.
'Mona Lisa' is worth you reacting to as well ❤
Beautiful...

When he started to sing you had to just stop and listen to him, way to smooth and easy to hear.
Please do a reaction to Nat singing "Candy". My name is Candy. A judge I used to work for always sang this song to me.
