This guy in my opinion saved rugby league. They were losing a million dollars a day before he came in. Every player and administrator should thank this guy
Too many times people look for short cuts to achieve, part of achieving the goal is the journey of learning along the way. Another great Podcast gents. Can't wait for NRL 2024 Season.
Interesting interview ... especially the bit about cashless bars. I took my kids to the cricket in summer, gave them a $20 note to buy ice creams, and I was surprised when they came back and told me it wasn't accepted. Now I know why ... Pretty sad really that we can't just give our kids cash anymore like our dads did to us. Another reason to stay home and watch the game.
There is some legit bollocks in this chat. Painting himself as the messiah that saved racing is incredible. Everest was ripped off the American concept 'The Pegasus'. It's been well implemented here but just about every other aspect of NSW racing is worse under PVL.
What I don't like about these interviews is the constant, Monty Python Yorkshireman skits, i.e. the upbringing humblrag porn. "Oh my background was so tough my dad worked 50 hours a day and we lived in a puddle in Kings Cross.". Only for Bouris to come in with "Puddle? Sheer bloody luxury!". We get it guys, your folks worked hard, but so did most parents. Immigrant or not.
A good interviewer asks a question and allows the guest to talk to it and expand! Great job Mark. Thank you Peter!

Awesome interview, big respect for both men. Very insightful
Great chat! 💯
What a breath of fresh air. Most inspiring.😊 Thanks
Great interview and enjoyed the audience interaction. Someday I’d love to visit Kythera.
13:40 is just amazing

On ya, spreading gambling to the younger generation while horses get a flogging. Great morals.
Exactly what I was thinking. Good on you for your thought process.
Yassou, Peter and Mark xx
Such a great man.
Brilliant interview and insight. Two of the best!
Love this podcast
You both do a great job! Inspiring work
the greatest signing in NRL HISTORY
Bloody good episode
Worth the wait
Consider now, Roy and HG name Peter more than any other person in their show.
Peter seems like a bread and circus's type of guy.

The best steal from the rest of the best!
Not attributing any blame to PVL here, but Randwick raceday is a far worse vibe than it used to be. So many gronks now.
The Everest was one-upmanship by NSW racing over Vic racing...who cares...buy a horse, watch it lose AND GET OVER IT
👋😂☘️🇵🇭
So glad Peter mentions Asian kids. I love rugby league, but the racism I see it’s so sad.
I think we can both agree that the bunker needs to ease up on doing calls the ground ref lets go.
I'd like to meet an entrepreneur or successful person who has got their bread by not pulling the wool over less educated folks.
Can you please help the roosters?
