    At 26:36 you begin to explain rotating a route at an angle but don't go into explaining it. I am experiencing a situation where I have to route pipe at a specified angle, however if I need to edit that angle, there is no way for me to adjust it. The 'rotation arrows' do not show up when editing, only for initial routes. Is there a way to re-route your pipe at a different angle, or do I just start the route over from scratch which would be a colossal inconvenience?

    Hi
    Do you know how to Polyethylen PE pipes in our designs?

    I hope you take this feedback as constructive because I realize all the work that went into it, but wow -- so much time I'll ever get back (and I'm your target market).
    Almost an hour to show a half a dozen fittings and some pipe. Pausing to answer questions unrelated to the work at the time? FOCUS!!
    Again, I do appreciate the effort, but y'all are a commercial outfit using these videos as marketing method (and I approve of such). Getting it together will improve your image.

    how do i choose a spercific fiting, elbow... that i already have to creat a route, but in the inventor, i cant find it. do i need to add it to library first or something?

    I appreciate you taking the time to explain this video. It's people like you that make youtube great. You are saving people a great deal of time and helping them understand. I thank you for that, you are awesome. If I could make one recommendation, maybe be more focused on which things you talk about? I was starting to wonder off a little because the information I needed was burred in between many other topics. However, I did just wake up and its 4:30am.

    Guys, its 2024 and Inventor dosent display the branch size of a reducing tee in BOMs for butt weld fittings. How can we achieve this, how will the fabricators know what size tee to order! Let me guess, we have to write a program or manually edit the BOM.

    I know this is 3 years after the fact but I'm having to crash learn Inventor. Thankfully I used to be an advanced use of AutoCAD Electrical. Helps to understand how AutoCAD uses libraries and such. Although Inventor is way way different.

    At 43 minutes in the video. why don't you run the 2 flanges connect then add the tee?

    If the desired pipe size is not available in any of the styles, then how can we create new pipe size and include the same in the style?

    jump to 17:00. You will not miss anything. he talk more time then actually show content. It took for him 23 min to plug the 1st flange! He would be good at talk show, and only there.

    That was pretty brutal. I'm trying to create a simple bent piece of tubing with 3 bends using the tubes and pipes feature and after watching all that and making a few stabs at it, I'm exactly nowhere. Clearly Adam knows Inventor but getting that information into a teachable form was apparently elusive. Maybe just going over the styles settings needed and then making a few example runs would be the way to go. It seems like this feature is not ready for prime time. Back to 3D sketches I suppose.

    How do I measure/constrain off of geometry. Example, i need a reducer placed 2ft off the wall. The only option i know of is to place a component at the highest level rather than into the runs.

    • @KETIVTechnologies
      @KETIVTechnologies  3 роки тому

      Hi JoeBob. Yeah like you see in the video, you will typically want to place the geometry within the runs. However, if you need additional references, you will need to adjust the geometry present in the top level. One trick we see a lot is to create a dummy part to be placed in the top level assembly, and use it locate your tube and pipe placements. What to do if that replaced tee is in bad position?

    • @KETIVTechnologies

      Do you mean orientation? You can change it by right clicking it and selecting "Edit Fitting Orientation". From there, you can click the spacebar to cycle through position options. KETIV | Marco

    Hi ketiv, I have a question, could we use different pipe style for different run? I tried to change the pipe style for one run but the other run style also change. And I dont know if there is maybe a trick to do that.

    • @KETIVTechnologies
      @KETIVTechnologies  3 роки тому

      Hi Alex, Yeah, there's a few different levels to tube and pipe which goes SUB ASSEMBLY > RUN > ROUTE. Assuming you have multiple pipe styles set up, you can change the style of a ROUTE to something else without affecting the other ROUTES in the RUN. We have some additional videos on the channel that get into more advanced topics like this as well. - Adam

    To constantly stop and start the webinar to answer (mostly meaningless) questions throughout really does get frustrating. Cant the Q&A stuff be left until the end? And how many times does the presenter need to say "right"? So irritating. Other than that, really informative.
