Keith Carlock is unstoppable, he start quietly and then he runs over everything like a tank without any mercy for the breathless audience. Seems to have 20 hands, the listeners cannot have half second rest. Great.
No me gustan mucho los solos de batería, pero este es el mejor solo que he visto en mis 70 años de amor a la música. Bravo Keith Carlock!!! Y esa guitarra por Dios!!
I think Keith did a fantastic job here. Listen to his drive in the midsection of this song. I got goose bumps. It so very different from Jeff and Simon but so reminiscent of them. It's eerie.
Dang. Love this band and the level of excellence every member, new and old, brings to the game. Keith excels and adds a new dimension to the bottom end. Well done everyone.
Only one hater in the crowd here. I was expecting the whole "nobody can replace Jeff" crowd (and the one invoked the name of Simon) so it's very refreshing to see all the Keith love here. Hey, if you can't feel the love Luke has for every drummer he's put in "the chair" you have no reason to call yourself a fan of Toto. No one is "better" than any other. Luke doesn't expect his players to fit some cookie cutter imitation of Jeff. He lets each and every one put his own stamp on it. I love 'em all...Simon, Shannon, Sput, Keith (help me, who am I leaving out?)...all of them put their heart and soul into this music. Man, Keith is just killin' it here!!!
Both are great in their own right. Music is not about being "better" mate. There is no definite way to do stuff, they have different approaches, a different touch. Each unique, and great at that :)
I've been fortunate to see many of the best drummers in rock and jazz over the last 50 years, including the late, great Jeff Porcaro about a half dozen times. Got to see Carlock with Steely Dan a few years back and by halfway through the first song, I was beginning to think he might be the best I ever saw. By the end of the second song, there was no doubt.
Nathan East on bass! Keith Carlock on drums! Epic!

The drummer is crushing it!! Those are big shoes to fill. Respect.
Holy! I just became the drummer’s numero uno fan. Amazing!
Dude, go look him up with Steely Dan. Your ears will say “Thank You”!

Keith Carlock number one!
Keith was on fire! 🔥 🚒
Joe had to work a little at reaching the high notes in that second verse, the background is excellent though.
Very musical drum solo, Keith rules !!

Top top
Holy fuck...
Keith Carlock the alien
So, this constant insulting of musicians goes to my alarm clock. Let's re-energise the solo. Otherwise the song is not so hard to play.
Simon Philip is better than him

@J N What hahahahahahahahahahahaha. Simon is the master of limbindependence dude.
They're different. I don't like Carlock's style, but he has a great groove and feel.
@@HenkJovialusDikkus This is about MUSIC. Technique is just a language to express yourself.
