I'm Greek but Medvedev is right, the rules are rules. He's not allowed to do coaching to Stefanos during the match.
Still has no right to talk to him like that
@@mrbaguette5517 no you're wrong. He has to warn the father for coaching. Not doing that he shouldn't be surprised someone gets angry at him.
I am Russian and Medvedev was always an asshole. Too pity Stefanos lost him. Hope RAFA will beat him. TEnnis don't need that champion like Medved. He is too arrogant and have no respect to anyone.
@@mrbaguette5517 He has every right, that umpire could have cost him one of the most important titles.
@@mrbaguette5517 As a part of a show might be, me personally like that from good or bad side.
Time.
WHAT TIME????
kills me🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂
Even when he is angry, it’s hilarious
He has no respect for the umpire who is doing a hell of a job and is paid tiny fractions of what the players earn on court. It's good that Meddy eventually realized that he was wrong and apologized getting away with a minor fine for misconduct.
Well he proved his point by absolutely crushing Tsitsipas by 6-4 and 6-1 !
Had a feeling this was coming considering what Tsitipas is like. Medvedev is right though.
He is wrong in the way he talks to an umpire, he is right at his point though
Not in the way he yells at the umpire, showing no respect for himself nor the game.
He isn't. Pathetic behavior
@@muratsarsenov4496 yeah I agree. He should have toned down towards the umpire
@@NG-wx4kw pathetic behaviour is the name of enture Tsitsipas's career
The main problem is the umpire!!! He didn’t stop Greek fans from shouting before Medvedev’s serve (and he got pissed off), he didn’t stop Tsitsipas Father from coaching until Medvedev started to shout and he didn’t stop Medvedev from being rude!! Totally unprofessional!!!
Agree with you👍🏻, week umpire control caused all of this mistakes
Send father of arena happened all THE time during my junior years but in Grand Slam its okay. #behindDanill
None of that justifies the very rude and humiliating reaction by Medvedev.
Yes it does. For start umpire should warn tsitsipas, Then point penalty, game penalty, its easy its in the rules. Meddo went nuts because nothing happened. Then a good umpire calms down the player and doesnt ignore him. you that dont see this doesnt know the rules or have played tennis on higher level
Rules are rules and we can't ignore them. Daniil is definitely right and I'm so happy he won!
Can't stand Medvedev. He's not wrong but is a way too arrogant human being. You can't try to humiliate an umpire like that. Setting a bad example for the kids watching tennis. Hope Rafa beats him to save tennis.

Someone should have guts once and remove Tsitsipas father from the stadium. This will finally teach them something.
He is absolutely right. His father is known for this. They can use phone next time, like last time....
Even if he is right that does not justify his humiliating reaction. How can you call “stupid” and “ small cat” to the umpire without getting a violation? Is Medvedev respecting the rules with all these insults?
@@lluhu I think it's just language barrier. Medvedev calls everybody stupid when he is angry
It's Medvedev Match.
What a great Warior.
Congratulations
Medvedev is absolutely right on this one, the umpires needs to do something about that
He can be right..but he cant talk like that...
@@joaovtf6001 he can. its semi final the empire should be one of the best he cant make shit thing like this.
I agree with Medvedev but there is a respectful way to say it. Nevertheless, Tsitsipas' father is a disrespectful embarrassment. I'm so glad that Medvedev won.
@@diane5140 Do you realize how nervous a player is when so much is at stake? He clearly lost his cool. But who wouldn't have. There were times even when Mr. Nice Guy Federer lost his temper. This is just poor refereeing. Guy sits there. Spells the points. Maybe better to replace also the referee with an android. Less tossers around the court. Like linesmen. No more of them. Who misses them?
@@patrickvicat-cole1462 I don’t disagree with you. He could have been cooler about it but there was a lot at stake. Definitely happy that Tsitsipas is out.
i mean, i hope Medvedev wins right on the eyes of this shitty AO crowd. Honestly, shouting on serves in crucial moments and roaring ovations when Daniil making double faults so sickening, i have no words
I hope with you!!
There's a lot of ignorant Australians. How embarrassing for those that aren't.
Medevedev is absolutely right! This father talks and coach all the time and he should have been deporterede from the game! Make a statement and stop it. Rules are rules for everybody. And even Tsitipas get often mad about it.
I am looking forward to the final between Rafa and Med.
I am Rafa fan but I Wish the best to win.
And I hope we Will have the best game of the centrum….. and perhaps the chased number 21.
Have a nice day👍🍺🇩🇰
Medvedev Will win cause Nadal is old.
@@vagsancho the winner will be the one who play the best on the day. And is strongest mentally.
Age can be a Stange thing. Sometimes an advantage
Emotions took the better out of him but props to him that then he controlled his emotions and won the game in the end
Props to the Umpire to not give him another violation for calling him stupid...
Daniil washed the dirty team of Tsitsipas with his word.
.
It keeps happening with Tsitsipas. There's a pattern emerging. Different players too. It must be happening. That being said, he was very aggressive about it.
He was assertive about it and he felt being treated unfairly.
i would be happy to even have an umpire to do something. Foot faults and intensive coaching are just considered normal in lower up to higher leagues.. no respect for rules. So a clear statement on this is needed by the ITF.
the problem is that even Stefanos in Dubai lamented that he doesn't want his parents coaching him. Until he doesn't get rid of them as coaches he will never progress as a champion, they are oppressive

What a character Medvedv has!
He does not let anyone make fun of him, it seems that he is losing his mind but it is not all calculated, like a game of chess.
1. Medvedev has a point. 2. He was being way too aggresive - not a good look. 3. The ref actually did something about the coaching.
Do you really have to instult and scream at the ref to finally make them act?
If he didn't - the ref woudn't take any measures.
Cmon, spectators behaviour is so unpolite and rude. Ref do nothing it is very unprofessional. Why Daniil should be polite with that arrogant and unpolite people.
if the umpire did nothing make Medvedev have to do something, then he is passive....
I totally agree, such a shame. Even a 10 years old kid would be more respectful.
Tennis is such a soft sport, who gives a shit if he’s aggressive.
Medvedev speaks English like Russian without excessive politeness.
Congrats Daniel on reaching the final! I want you to win the final!!!
Everything is straightforward and clear. He said everything right! Did you think he should have a conversation like with a small child?
@@RomashFilms No, I speak English like that myself. Native English speakers consider this manner rude and impolite.
Hahaha, I fucking love Medvedev
umpires need to listen to players more maybe, medvedev was right, umpire seemed ignorant
Exactly. He looked the other way while Med talked to him. And I think it was there Med lost his temper.
Ignorant is the right word about the umpire.
He was just insulted be Medvedev. He doesn't deserve anything else.
Just because the umpire can't hear what Medvedev hears it doesn't mean he's lying.
Medvedev was being distracted during play repeatedly by Tsitsipas's father and the crowd. The umpire did nothing.
Honestly I do believe Medvedev is right on this issue, but show some decency towards the umpire as well... No need to scream so crazy about that right
He is right. He shoudnt talk like this but i understand its big game. We are not same - some poeple cant be cool in situation like this. BTW this is not first time for stef father to do it so i kind understand his reaction.
The Medvedev's chosen umpire instead Tsitsipas or his father. He yelled enough loud to be heard by both (opponent and his father), if he decided to yell at the opponent it would be worse. Umpire should do his job to avoid such a situation. The ATP should think how to avoid similar cheating. For instance, disqualifying to visit matches by people like the father of Tsitsipas. Anyway, one player is always cheating (Tsitsipas is always doing it) and someday another player might be angry.
@@krlenjuska Not only that but so many other players talked about this and have talked with umpires midgame about it and yet nothing is done about it, players are getting sick of Tsitioas and his father
But bro u are in a grandslam semi final and this happens to you. I think your reaction would be same
Its so normal for Medv reaction to umpire, rules is rules, and umpire allowed titsipas father to coach, so breaking the rules.
Anyone will be very annoyed..!!
I like Tsitsipas and his tennis but he and his father should stop talking, to make hindrance and coaching on the court until they finally made that rule clear if it's not already clear by logic that. Tsitsipas family is wrong here. Apostolos knows that he is helping his son, it has effect on how Stefanos is playing but it should not be allowed. Almost no one is doing this.
Completely agree with Medvedev. Tsitsipas is a real cheater, completely unfair
I don't like Tsitsipas that much but I heard him speaking and he's pure class, but he should ditch his father as coach and get a professional one.
You don't choose family but you can choose your coach.
@@gvolpe87 His father is the reason he is on this level..Tsitsipas needs coaching more than most players because he does not use his brain , nor he has the will and concentration of a great player.
@@michalischronis5440 lol 😂
He doesn't have the will of a great player ?? ridiculous . the guy has enormous e will power .
He's just a Daddy's kid, not a cheater. Rather than helping him on the court, his father's promts distract him a lot.
When adrenalin is high and so much is at stake, good manners take a back seat occasionally (Serena's tantrum). Moreover, he was absolutely right. Hopefully next umpire will dare do something about Tsitsipas shenanigans.
Yeah but Serena Always got a different treatment!
Stefanos was eventually fined for coaching and Meddy was fined for yelling and rudeness
@@xoma9377 ok but money fine Is nothing for them... Compared to the damage an istant reaction from the umpire would cause, implying a loss in score... The umpire with Medvedev did not even dare ti answer, I don't find It fair
Where is the outrage? The cartoons?
Well done Daniil "the rules are the rules" in Australia ONLY when they can use it to their advantage! Be assertive otherwise you are crashed in this unfair world.

@@g0ing1nsane оо спасибо,после короны мозг вообще не работает и я сразу не поняла его референс😂
I’m Greek and agree that Tsitsipas was being allowed to get away with a lot until Medvedev has spoken. It seems that poor Russians get biased calls against them even in tennis. Australia has turned into a joke and this was another prime example.
Tsisipas is half Russian :-)
Australia has turned into a joke because an Spanish umpire gave medvedev a warning. What a smart knob you are
this has nothing to do with Australia wtf is wrong with you?
@@metoziii you should find out how Australian crowd was behaving in final and treating Medvedev
"LOOK AT ME"
Incredible ! I love Daniil personally! xD
Understandable that most of the people in the comment section stand behind medvedev but let’s be honest, he cannot talk to him like that. On the other hand, the umpire completely lost control over the match by letting medvedev offend him in that manner without having any consequences for medvedev. In addition, he obviously should’ve given a warning for the coaching stuff. To conclude, the umpire had a weak day and medvedev got too offensive, even though he was right.
f. all of you who like to play judges after the battle:) and give justice, who cares about your verdict
Danił is 100% right and this umpire should be sent back to officiate atp 250 tournaments not a grand slam.

@@ubermonkey3481 потому что отец Циципаса (он же его тренер) на протяжении матча давал ему советы, это запрещено правилами. Судья никак не пресекал это
I believe Tsitsipas when he says he can't hear anything from his box and therefore its not a massive deal.
But then just tell your dad to shut up!
You get that violation because its against the rules to give coaching regardless whether the player can hear it or not.
Full sympathy to Medvedev when he could hear the coaching at times and saw nothing was being done.
Respect for EUROSPORT still showing Djoković in the Videos!
Lets go Danil... Finish it!
For those who write something like "Medvedev's attitude is SO rude related to umpire". Guys, pls think at least a bit deeper. The STARTING POINT is the umpire's attitude related to Medvedev's game. The umpire's attitude was disrespectful related to Medvedev's game by letting Ttsitsipa's father couch during the match. It is hard to attitude respectfully if another person does not respect you (in this case umpire started it), simple psychology. Although, FOR SURE Medvedev could attitude wiser and "close his eyes from such disrespectfulness" or at least nicely talk to an umpire.
Absolutely right medvedev is! That tsitsipas always been a sneaky cheater just like his father
He was completely right about the situation but let his feelings say things he then regretted.
He apologized to the umpire at the end of the match, though, as well as saying it was a mistake during the court interview.
Great he managed to channel that anger and bad energy into playing great tennis afterwards. Well deserved victory.
If I was the umpire, I would file a complaint for harassment and intimidation. This behaviour should never be tolerated in professional sport, especially when children are watching.
@@andreaspapadopoulos5840 neither should be the behavior of the Tsitsipas family.
He needs to learn not to have to apologise to start with. Just make your point without screaming like a toddler with a tantrum. This is a professional tennis. These players need to be penalised for this kind of behaviour.
@@andreaspapadopoulos5840 If you are... You are also ignoring bad calls from umpire being unprofessional

The issue is not whether Medvedev is right or not. I believe in tennis, as in any other sport, we should be respectful. Insulting the umpire in such violent way is just not the way to go. Medvedev is one of the greatest talent nowadays, a very smart and intelligent guy and he can be an example for many young tennis players. Hope throughout is career he will understand this.

Once again, the Father loses the match for his Son. It's like a local park tournament with a Tennis parent getting out of control. Pretty soon the day will come out of frustration of losing yet another semi or final, Tsitsipas will ask the umpire to eject his father from the stadium. I must add, the umpiring at this AO has been abysmally poor. Frankly, it's no wonder Shapovalov said what he said.
Completely agree!
He is right, the "small cat" has to remove Tsitsipas' father from the stadium!
I cannot lie, I love watching these "angry tennis moments", but I also think that Tennis players are like a super spoiled whiny kid.

I can certainly understand Medvedev here. I have the same exploding temper ). Shouting at umpire was certainly rude, but I can understand his anger. Considering that the crowd was clearly against him and then umpire did nothing - easy to see where all this coming from. As a public figure he should work on his anger management though.
He already did a lot for that comparing to what was, say, 4-5 years ago. He knows (as he said) that because of this he can lose games, luckily it didn't happen today.
Why was the crowd against Medvediev ? I dont get the source of that attitutde.
Maybe because he supports Novak and because he's Russian and an amazing player?
