Would love to see you work your way through your Everyman collection. Also, could you go through some of the Everyman magazines, over the shoulder style, so we can get a really good look. I'm just dipping my toe into collecting some of these and there is not a great deal to be found online. Glad I found your channel🙂
@@ShawnDStandfast Thanks Shawn, I'll check back on those earlier videos. Yes, I heard you say the Everyman's were stored high up. The joys of being a collector I guess. Series that I have either completed or not really into at present have been boxed up and stored so as to create room on my shelves for books I'm currently collecting. Enjoying the 1930s 'A Century of' series by Hutchinson at present 🙂
Most interesting. I am thoroughly unaware of Everyman and what it represented in terms of it's Library - I'd only ever just heard of the name 'Everyman' but knew nothing else. Thank you 🌞

I think the modern Everyman aren't bad as far as cost goes and are solidly bound by today's standards. I have quite a few of the older versions. They are very pretty when in good condition. I have a lot of Victorian bookmarks and several booksellers bookmarks, most of the sellers have now disappeared, sadly.
@@ShawnDStandfast yes, but sadly the days if Lane and Dent making cheap books available for all are long gone. Short of anything to read Allen Lane got the idea on St. David's Station Exeter for Penguins. I love the fact that my hometown inspired him to publish these handy books. I wonder what inspired Dent.
