Dude, I've been trying to figure this out for over a day. I've tried multiple tutorials and non of them worked the way they showed it. This one worked first try even though I was a skeptic lol good job
It is not working I have done the same step that you have tell but then also it is saying 'ffmpeg' is not organised as an internal or external command operable program or batch file
God I wish this dude was in every installation or help guide, what a good idea: A folder for PATH_Programs. And the details on every section. Love the whole video, wish I could thumbs up 10+
fun fact: you can just type "winget install ffmpeg" in command prompt or powershell and it'll configure everything for you (if you dont want to edit the environment variables yourself)
Just letting you know it works, thanks. I couldn't get it to work if it was in a subfolder, it would have to be located in a C drive folder. Not subfolders.
Did everything but when i type ffmpeg in comand prompt it says "'ffmpeg' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file."
This isn't working. I've added the path but when I type ffmpeg it say the command isn't recognized. What do I do. EDIT: I just had to start a new command line session
Just like everyone else in the comment section, I thought it necessary to sing your praises for this tutorial. No 20 second mlg intro, no time wasting, no ambiguity. Thank you
this part 6:00 dont work for me i followed every step! did it get updated? Gonna restart computer too Edit: you need to restart the computer and it will work
Of note: copy everything in the bin folder. My ffmpeg download had a number of .dll files in the bin folder along with ffmpeg, ffplay, and ffprobe. It wouldn't run until I copied those files as well.
In the release build, there are a ton of other files in with the bin folder, and putting just the apps into PATH_Programs just crashes the software saying I need those things, what do I do
Now I'm having an issue where I can't find the location of videos I've converted using ffmpeg. I was told it'd be in the same folder I downloaded ffmpeg in "...users>name>downloads.." something like that, but I can't find it anywhere.
Hey, here from Krita. Can anyone let me know how to get it to work with Krita? i have it downloaded and working, it just won't recognise it is in the system.
Same here, I followed the instruction, but I can't edit the "System variables" as he showed as an alternative in this video, so I guess they may run Windows in admin mode, but that is a stupid thing to do.
hey I'm here for Krita too. If you are trying to use the ffmpeg app to render animations then yes it should work. Just make sure when you are in the render settings on Krita select the ffmpeg.exe app when telling Krita where to look for. Make sure you have extracted the folder accordingly first and know where the folders are on your computer(the ffmpeg download folders and such). Hope this helps
i have instilled successfully based on your video guideline and can run ffmpeg -codecs on command prompt successfully but i could not to solve the problem yet it pops up every time i launch the program this is the message '' the code execution cannot proceed because ffmpeg.dll was not found . Reinstalling the program may fix this program". so please help me how to get rid off this problem. thanks!
I don't really know what happend but it says it's fully installed *command prompt* but when I open it.. it gives me a error list of 2 errors? There 2 fat to read but there in red.
