Seth, you totally forgot about Scorching Desert. It deals 1 damage when it enters the battelfield. So Felidar Guardian x2 + Panharmonicon + Scorching Desert = Infinite damage.
@@tmbocheeko you are missing the combo, its not that he's trying to double the desert damage, he's doubling the exile effect to infinitely flicker the desert, one damage at a time.
I think just the spark doubles instead of Yarok. My only concern is that yes that is a super hilarious deck for idiots (see also: this thread) but if we do that, it has to be the absolute best etbs worth multiplying. Question is what?
@@DarkX64 hostage taker or agent of treachery could allow you to steal all your opponent's cards. demanding dragon or siege rhino could let you kill your opponent if you have enough the etb copy effects. Armada wurm could be funny to create a ton of 5/5 worms. Any of the gearhulks from kaladesh would be pretty broken. emry or any other mill creature could let you self mill yourself to win with lab maniac or any mill creature could let you mill out your opponent. rhonas god eternal with almost any other creature with trample could let you oneshot your opponent. golos would let you fetch enough fields of the dead to win very fast. and we already know that felidar guardian is a very powerful magic card
The infinate fellinlap guardian play was so cool. When you draw all your cards and blink all your lands to play all your cards in the same turn, you kno the magic gods smile upon you. Great show
Aaaaaaaand this is why Yarok is my favorite commander! It makes the other cards sooo good but it is not necessary to execute a game plan. AWESOME deck Seth!
Pioneer really seems like a great format off the bat. I have seen, I think, 30ish very different decks from eggs over RDW to food chains and whatnot. Looks like it will be a fun format; at least until it settles down and a banlist is created. Love the content Seth as always.
"If there was any animal I would consider shooting, it would be an elk." I laughed so hard at that, you're the best Seth. Also, G2 against copy cat 29:39 If you Teferi bounced the Felidar Guardian, they can't combo unless they draw exactly a red or white untapped land. Currently, they would have to replay the guardian, flicker the RW fast land, then they have Saheeli mana, but the land would enter tapped, so you don't actually have to worry about that. I like bouncing a lot there.
This deck feels very real. I wish we saw Panharmonicon get to do more, but I feel like it could have been taken out for something else. This is a solid control deck.
I'm so excited about paper Pioneer, but sadly no one else in my playgroup is. So, I won't be playing it at all. That's unfortunately because I actually started to play magic around tarkir, so, I have the cards to play with, and even to share. My PG only cares about commander and oathbreaker, I live in an island (Cozumel, México) and there is not even a LGS here.
So, one question. With the board 13:16 in If he had cast felidar guardian, and targeted prince and agent with the etb, then had prince blink agent and felidar off of his blink, could he have stolen his opponent's entire board?
What about Dusk/Dawn in the sideboard? Looks like all of your creatures go under it. I think you would enjoy a Monument of Oketra deck as well, pretty similar decks overall.
I've put Charming Prince in a couple of decks, thinking the flicker is why it's in the deck... but honestly the Scry does the most work 90% of the time, even in a deck built with tons of ETB effects. Seeing how Charming Prince plays out and how much it helps everything work out in my games with the Scry, I've been thinking that I've been underestimating Scry 2, and, for example, Overwhelmed Apprentice in Standard might actually have value outside of a mill deck simply as a way to smooth out my early draws in a lot of decks. In fact, I've tried it, and I've been actually somewhat impressed by the blue one drop. It also has the up side that in game 1 the mill 2 can tell me what my opponent is doing before the scry, so, for example, I see that I'm up against aggro and scry the sweeper to the top (or see that I'm against control and scry it to the bottom).
Since mana bases for three color decks are so punishing, could mardu knights work with Tournament Grounds? You'd get some of the very strong knights from dominaria and before as well as the new lords and such from Eldraine.
Hey, Seth! What do you think about Hedron Alignment in Pioneer? Might be the format to make it work. Dump stuff in your yard with any number of ways, exile it with delve spells, etc etc etc.
makes me smile. now if we can only get the one other deck in pioneer that is just so much fun... i.e. "hit the swans, draw some cards, hit the swans, draw some cards..." then pioneer would be complete
29:47 can you play pahanarmonicon then needle naming two things? Stopping Oko and Saheli? Nvm I looked and "as ~ etb" effects are not affected by pahanarmonicon.
Hey, Seth san for your next deck for a pioneer video could you try out Esper Grind where the key cards are between Undercity Informer with Teysa Karlov combined with any good afterlife mechanic creatures?
I get that a 3 or 4 color manabase is greedy, but you have to think back to the kaladesh standard, where 3 or 4 colors wasn't an issue with how powerful energy was at color fixing.
Incidentally, Seth give the game changing idea: What about this + Saheeli? I'd remove Agent of treachery (too expensive without gy shenanigans), Angel (never showed up in a game and almost always was cut off between games) and a copy of cloudblazer to fit three copies of Saheeli.

Double Guardian is just an incidental combo he can do, it's not worth wrecking the manabase

so when are we getting wizard flavored Twelvmonicon with 4 panharmonic, 4 yarok, and 4 Naban?
Add in Spark Double to get even more Yaroks and Nabans

We'll probably have to try it for the memes, although Naban is clunky since it only works with Wizards.
