I agree. Both Farhan and Hania, what they had done in MH is magic and timeless. Awards or no awards, those characters, and the magic that they created will be remembered for a long time. Like Humsafar is today. There is one thing about performing well, and then, there is performing well and connecting with the audience. This is where everybody in that team had won. I have no issues with Bilal winning. Atleast one of the other deserving won in that category, but viewer's choice was a joke seriously. Hopefully they won't repeat this next year. Even if Farhan doesn't win next year, I hope ASP Arsalan and JS team is atleast recognised with a nomination. It was a unique script with with excellent performances all around.
Yumna and bilal were the most deserving. Glad that yumna has finally received the recognition she should have gotten long ago. It took her 11 years. From underdog to setting new record by winning 5 awards as the first female actress. What a tremendous journey and a beautiful balance between commercial and critical work. No nepo label. No industry connections. Clean and humble. As aamna once said shareef.

If you'll search for nominations for the earlier ceremonies (4th, 5th and 6th LSAs) you are not going to find anything on internet. There is no record. There's some information available on Wikipedia, but it's unreliable. Nobody knows which TV directors were nominated at 4th LSAs. At this point, they should at least upload all the past nominees on their official website, but I don't think they care about their legacy that much.

Feroze's win was quite predictable tbh given his mass popularity.. problematic was his very nomination for the film where he was neither lead nor did he even bother to care about the promotions... In fact I was rather surprised he didn't win in drama category and I don't say this based on performance but on popularity entirely!!!! So all in all the awards were absurdly flawed from the very core!

LSA has had its worst year today with few wins genuine far in between. Yumna & Bilal deserved their awards and were heartfelt along with director & writer. Others are not fair at all. Hum sweeping the awards seemed fixed since on insta, it’s HUM LSA. Arsalan winning is head-scratching because to compete against Danish & Farhan and win is confusing. Danish won in a year when Ahad & Bilal both were nominated and while KTK won Best Play (undeserving), it didn’t win any other award? Had viewers not chosen MH or KTK, it wouldn’t have won OST. Feroze Khan winning Best Actor made no sense given the film wasn’t even that popular to begin with. Best Ensemble play, even though was suitable, were also same for other dramas such as Betiyaan. Kamli winning best film VIEWERS’ is just confusing because it wasn’t even that popular. Maula Jatt receiving no recognition shows what excellence it actually rewards. No one can argue that Hamza, Fawad & Humaima didn’t deserve the awards and so didn’t Bilal and the film. LSA se ek guzarish hai ke don’t waste our talent by your pathetic system. Remove all viewers’ choice, ensemble and long plays because they are nonsense. Add Best Supporting Cast for all categories, Best Screenplay & Cinematography for all, Best Comedy & Drama serials given the amount of comedy plays we get every year.
At this point they should stop giving out viewers' choice awards because every year their picks are so random. Even their jury awards make no sense, how could they choose QZB over Joyland which was one of the best Pakistani films ever made. I turned off QZB after 20 minutes, it made no sense at all. They could have easily given Alina Khan Best Film Actress Critics, but critics awards were not given to film actors this year for some reason. They need add categories for supporting actors in both telvision and film section. Sania Saeed was not even nominated for Kamli 😤 They snub her every year.

I’m so happy for Yumna and Bilal! Also I say this in the most respectful way possible but I did not like Yumna’s styling at all. And please don’t say it’s because she didn’t show skin. No that’s not the reason. The dress was just not glamorous enough for an award show. Just yesterday, on google I saw a really pretty saree with pants that had full sleeves. In my head, I instantly thought “wow Yumna would have looked great in this with open hair”. She deserves to be styled so much better she is a superstar!!!!

Farhan Saeed deserved the award. He actually raised the belief in arrange marriage and then how a husband should protect his wife. And then Arslan Naseer from nowhere won the award. Paristan was not even popular.
It is a secret news that people picked Feroz khan for both people choice awards ( best tv actor and best film actor)but lux couldn’t give both awards to Feroz Khan so they messed up.
So tv awards should have been given to feroze, that was atleast better than him getting for that movie in which he was hardly there. Film award kisi aur ko detey.
Do not dismiss Arslan 's speech at LSA+ his post on Instagram after his win. He definitely was surprised and considered himself not anyway better than the nominees. He did say that it was democracy that won with the followers that voted. You are correct that it is the person that won not the performance. And lastly, it has now put more responsibility on Arslan in future as a performer!
Yar...but he had put a cryptic post just after the nominations were announced, throwing shade at the industry overall, like he's some maestro in acting but is sidelined because of lack of connections. That was in bad taste.

He himself is very much aware that this wasn't a worthy performance of being nominated for and then of course the award. I can't understand why Ushna doesn't get awards. She is a very fine actress. She was as good in Hubs as Feroze was, if not more. In past, she had performed really well in few plays like Balaa, Akhir Kab tak. But she never gets acknowledgement.
Award shows mostly prefer artists who have strong fan base and popularity or those who are the channel's favourites. Ushna is not very popular like Yumna, Hania and Iqra. Plus, the fact that nowadays there are so many female actresses working in dramas, the competition has become more tough. There are many great actresses like Hiba Bukhari, Neelam Muneer, Sonya Hussain, Zhalay Sarhadi etc who were nominated several times but hardly got any award due to the favouritism of these award shows and channels.

I haven't observed Fahad Mustafa but Saba Qamar is quite full of herself so she keeps interrupting others. One example is her interview with Fuchsia related to taxi driver wala drama. She interrupted others with consistency.
She lacks basic etiquettes. She is a school drop out and comes from very humble beginnings. Unfortunately her mannerisms reflect her background and upbringing

We will continue to suffer unless LSA steps up and fixes issues in the future. We were robbed this year because of Ammara's decision to abstain. We deserved to see Hamza or Fawad lift that best film actor award, and Humaima nominated for best film actress. We deserved to see Hamza is his signature black on the red carpet, maybe Naimal wouldve accompanied(!), Mahira in her first post shadi public appearance, Fawad and Sadaf on the red carpet. Pakistanis deserved to celebrate Maula Jatt together! It is not every year that we will get such a film. 😢

How one can even forget Savera Nadeem in Wehem. She was just phenomenal in it and was 101% capable of winning best actress critics but she was not even nominated. I feel Yumna as Bakhtawar was inconsistent. She was exceptional at most of the time.

Aamna you’re absolutely right, it was very tasteless. @ Hassan, just cuz Shahrukh Khan does it in Bollywood does make it right. regarding Saba, I don’t know what’s up w. Saba but recently her face has become very expressionless. There’s a lot of arrogance that she oozes for the past couple of years. Compare her acting to yesteryears Saba was so much better than she is now. Same w/ Ali Zafar. Love Ali Zafar but I feel he’s become too self conscious. Saw him at a concert last year & he was quite rude to the young teenagers who were helping arrange the setup. Later that night during the concert he wasn’t rude but the warmth was missing, like he was forced to be there. Not sure if its the Misha Shafi effect or he’s always been this way.

It's not that hard to recognize our talent in this country if they could just try. There was a time when regardless of age, everyone who fit into a category was nominated. I remember 10 years ago, when Pyarey Afzal had a clean sweep at the LSAs, the awards actaully made sense. Out of the female nominees, they included Saba Hameed *and* Ayeza Khan. Likewise, for the males they included Hamza Ali Abassi *and* Firdous Jamal. That's how you recognize talent. It doesn't matter that they're older or less popular, they showed their talent and got the nominations they deserved. They had things structured for almost two decades, and now, post COVID, it's an absolute mess. They've lost any ounce of integrity they gained over the years.
I like the nominations you picked! I would've also given the Best Actress critics to any of the girls in Sinf e Aahaan but can't decide who 😙😆 Yeah, I wish these shows actually awarded talent and hard work. Give credit where it is due instead of dismissing it in such ways.
There was a time when Indian channels used to air on our cable, but we didn't watch these shows on TV, we had one or two in our house because of bold dresses (no offense to them), but this is a Pakistani awards show and there was literally 2% showcase of Pakistani dresses. We literally can not watch these as well with our family. I agree, they can wear what they want, but I believe in these shows we can depict our local culture, designers can add enhance, can add more value.

Popular choice is a funny thing. I have seen a Feroze Khan fan commented in FK's sister post that he voted 800 for FK. He has won for tich button but lost in dramas category because of Hum biasness. Yumna deserves critics award not popular choice. Hania deserves this.

Well Arsalan winnin over others doesnt really make sense from my perspective but its "viewers choice". Arsalan has a active fandom who religiously follow him and root for him so its not surprising if he won on the basis of voting. The critics choice was taken by Bilal Abbas which is well deserved. So, wasn't really fair to call it fixed.
Saba qamar has been acting very snobbish towards other artists. That was evident in Sare rah and kamli interviews. Its about time people are recognizing her problematic behavior. Even though Mahira has her limitations as an actor but she has been far more popular but still acts appropriately. Credit should be given where its due.
Last year when she came on Nida Yasir's morning show with Dur e Fishan, she interrupted her many times and didn't even allowed her to finish her sentences. Dur e Fishan was not a big star that time thats why she treated her horribly. She is a Diva in real life and many people from the industry have spoken about her arrogant behaviour in last couple of years.
The process of awarding projects should be like this: Nominations be decided by three panels of experts from film, drama and fashion. Selection of the jury should be similar to any other country. You select people of credibility and experience. Then for the popular category awards in dramas, they should be based on an index where youtube views, twitter mentions, andTRPs should be considered as indicators of popularity. There should be no voting for this on a separate website. Thats a bogus way to judge anyone's 'popularity'. Second, the critics awards should be decided by the jury only and the jury should have some scoring system for that and well defined criteria. There should be a different categories for art films and commercial films in that to seperate films like maula jatt and joyland. A different category for short films. A category for cinematography and DOP. A category for supporting actors. A category for negative roles. A category for comedy. Even the name Lux 'style' awards makes no sense. If these are style awards, all awards should be like "most stylish actor female" "most stylish actor male"..So whats the scope of these awards? Right?It should be "Lux Excellence Awards" Or something similar. A fun section related to social media can be added to honor content creaters, meemers etc. Last, who should perform on the stage? Agree with amna that it should be someone relevant. Why people need to dance on award shows? Are there no other ways to entertain people? Eg standup comedy, cultural exhibits, some behind-the-scenes videos? skits? prose? poetry? And why non-dancers are made to dance? no need. they look bad.

If they had announced them earlier Sajal Ali and Saba Qamar would have won at least five awards each. They both were nominated consistently during 2010s and they lost most of the times. Saba only won for Baaghi and Sajal for Khel Khel Mein. Of all the great things Sajal Ali has done she won an LSA for KKM 😑

If you'll search for nominations for the earlier ceremonies (4th, 5th and 6th LSAs) you are not going to find anything on internet. There is no record. There's some information available on Wikipedia, but it's unreliable. Nobody knows which TV directors were nominated at 4th LSAs. At this point, they should at least upload all the past nominees on their official website, but I don't think they care about their legacy that much.
I am only happy for Billal and Yumna they literally deserve this award but i agree there are so many people who deserve but did not even nominated.

Feroze's win was quite predictable tbh given his mass popularity.. problematic was his very nomination for the film where he was neither lead nor did he even bother to care about the promotions... In fact I was rather surprised he didn't win in drama category and I don't say this based on performance but on popularity entirely!!!! So all in all the awards were absurdly flawed from the very core!

LSA has had its worst year today with few wins genuine far in between. Yumna & Bilal deserved their awards and were heartfelt along with director & writer. Others are not fair at all. Hum sweeping the awards seemed fixed since on insta, it’s HUM LSA. Arsalan winning is head-scratching because to compete against Danish & Farhan and win is confusing. Danish won in a year when Ahad & Bilal both were nominated and while KTK won Best Play (undeserving), it didn’t win any other award? Had viewers not chosen MH or KTK, it wouldn’t have won OST.
Feroze Khan winning Best Actor made no sense given the film wasn’t even that popular to begin with. Best Ensemble play, even though was suitable, were also same for other dramas such as Betiyaan. Kamli winning best film VIEWERS’ is just confusing because it wasn’t even that popular.
Maula Jatt receiving no recognition shows what excellence it actually rewards. No one can argue that Hamza, Fawad & Humaima didn’t deserve the awards and so didn’t Bilal and the film. LSA se ek guzarish hai ke don’t waste our talent by your pathetic system. Remove all viewers’ choice, ensemble and long plays because they are nonsense. Add Best Supporting Cast for all categories, Best Screenplay & Cinematography for all, Best Comedy & Drama serials given the amount of comedy plays we get every year.

At this point they should stop giving out viewers' choice awards because every year their picks are so random. Even their jury awards make no sense, how could they choose QZB over Joyland which was one of the best Pakistani films ever made. I turned off QZB after 20 minutes, it made no sense at all. They could have easily given Alina Khan Best Film Actress Critics, but critics awards were not given to film actors this year for some reason. They need add categories for supporting actors in both telvision and film section. Sania Saeed was not even nominated for Kamli 😤 They snub her every year.

I’m so happy for Yumna and Bilal! Also I say this in the most respectful way possible but I did not like Yumna’s styling at all. And please don’t say it’s because she didn’t show skin. No that’s not the reason. The dress was just not glamorous enough for an award show. Just yesterday, on google I saw a really pretty saree with pants that had full sleeves. In my head, I instantly thought “wow Yumna would have looked great in this with open hair”. She deserves to be styled so much better she is a superstar!!!!

I can't understand why Ushna doesn't get awards. She is a very fine actress. She was as good in Hubs as Feroze was, if not more. In past, she had performed really well in few plays like Balaa, Akhir Kab tak. But she never gets acknowledgement.
Award shows mostly prefer artists who have strong fan base and popularity or those who are the channel's favourites. Ushna is not very popular like Yumna, Hania and Iqra. Plus, the fact that nowadays there are so many female actresses working in dramas, the competition has become more tough. There are many great actresses like Hiba Bukhari, Neelam Muneer, Sonya Hussain, Zhalay Sarhadi etc who were nominated several times but hardly got any award due to the favouritism of these award shows and channels.

We will continue to suffer unless LSA steps up and fixes issues in the future. We were robbed this year because of Ammara's decision to abstain. We deserved to see Hamza or Fawad lift that best film actor award, and Humaima nominated for best film actress. We deserved to see Hamza is his signature black on the red carpet, maybe Naimal wouldve accompanied(!), Mahira in her first post shadi public appearance, Fawad and Sadaf on the red carpet. Aamna you’re absolutely right, it was very tasteless. @ Hassan, just cuz Shahrukh Khan does it in Bollywood does make it right. regarding Saba, I don’t know what’s up w. Saba but recently her face has become very expressionless. There’s a lot of arrogance that she oozes for the past couple of years. Compare her acting to yesteryears Saba was so much better than she is now. Same w/ Ali Zafar. Love Ali Zafar but I feel he’s become too self conscious. Saw him at a concert last year & he was quite rude to the young teenagers who were helping arrange the setup. Later that night during the concert he wasn’t rude but the warmth was missing, like he was forced to be there. Not sure if its the Misha Shafi effect or he’s always been this way.
SRK always roasted either co host or the attendees. Saba should not be a host she lacks softness and humor that a host should have.

I just don't understand why it's so hard for Lux to do even a mediocre job. It's not that hard to recognize our talent in this country if they could just try. There was a time when regardless of age, everyone who fit into a category was nominated. I remember 10 years ago, when Pyarey Afzal had a clean sweep at the LSAs, the awards actaully made sense. Out of the female nominees, they included Saba Hameed *and* Ayeza Khan. Likewise, for the males they included Hamza Ali Abassi *and* Firdous Jamal. That's how you recognize talent. It doesn't matter that they're older or less popular, they showed their talent and got the nominations they deserved. They had things structured for almost two decades, and now, post COVID, it's an absolute mess. They've lost any ounce of integrity they gained over the years.

There was a time when Indian channels used to air on our cable, but we didn't watch these shows on TV, we had one or two in our house because of bold dresses (no offense to them), but this is a Pakistani awards show and there was literally 2% showcase of Pakistani dresses. We literally can not watch these as well with our family. I agree, they can wear what they want, but I believe in these shows we can depict our local culture, designers can add enhance, can add more value.

Well Arsalan winnin over others doesnt really make sense from my perspective but its "viewers choice". Arsalan has a active fandom who religiously follow him and root for him so its not surprising if he won on the basis of voting. The critics choice was taken by Bilal Abbas which is well deserved. So, wasn't really fair to call it fixed.

Saba qamar has been acting very snobbish towards other artists. That was evident in Sare rah and kamli interviews. Its about time people are recognizing her problematic behavior.
Even though Mahira has her limitations as an actor but she has been far more popular but still acts appropriately. Credit should be given where its due.
Last year when she came on Nida Yasir's morning show with Dur e Fishan, she interrupted her many times and didn't even allowed her to finish her sentences. Dur e Fishan was not a big star that time thats why she treated her horribly. She is a Diva in real life and many people from the industry have spoken about her arrogant behaviour in last couple of years.
The process of awarding projects should be like this: Nominations be decided by three panels of experts from film, drama and fashion. Selection of the jury should be similar to any other country. You select people of credibility and experience. Then for the popular category awards in dramas, they should be based on an index where youtube views, twitter mentions, andTRPs should be considered as indicators of popularity. There should be no voting for this on a separate website. Thats a bogus way to judge anyone's 'popularity'. Second, the critics awards should be decided by the jury only and the jury should have some scoring system for that and well defined criteria. There should be a different categories for art films and commercial films in that to seperate films like maula jatt and joyland. A different category for short films. A category for cinematography and DOP. A category for supporting actors. A category for negative roles. A category for comedy. Even the name Lux 'style' awards makes no sense. If these are style awards, all awards should be like "most stylish actor female" "most stylish actor male"..So whats the scope of these awards? Right?It should be "Lux Excellence Awards" Or something similar. A fun section related to social media can be added to honor content creaters, meemers etc. Last, who should perform on the stage? Agree with amna that it should be someone relevant. Why people need to dance on award shows? Are there no other ways to entertain people? Eg standup comedy, cultural exhibits, some behind-the-scenes videos? skits? prose? poetry? And why non-dancers are made to dance? no need. they look bad.

If they had announced them earlier Sajal Ali and Saba Qamar would have won at least five awards each. They both were nominated consistently during 2010s and they lost most of the times. Saba only won for Baaghi and Sajal for Khel Khel Mein. Of all the great things Sajal Ali has done she won an LSA for KKM 😑
