In India, same-sex marriage is not legal, and there is an ongoing debate on whether or not to legalize it. In 2018, the Indian Supreme Court struck down a colonial-era law that criminalized homosexuality, which was a significant step towards decriminalizing same-sex relationships in India. However, the legalization of same-sex marriage has yet to be addressed by the Indian government.
There are both supporters and opponents of same-sex marriage in India. Supporters argue that legalizing same-sex marriage would be a step towards equality and would grant same-sex couples the same legal rights and privileges as heterosexual couples. They also argue that denying same-sex couples the right to marry is a form of discrimination.
Opponents of same-sex marriage in India typically base their arguments on religious or cultural grounds, citing the traditional definition of marriage as between a man and a woman. Some also argue that legalizing same-sex marriage would lead to a breakdown of social norms and values.
Overall, the debate on same-sex marriage in India is ongoing, and the issue remains a complex and sensitive topic. The case is in Supreme court and we have the two petitioners with us.

The way these both guys love each other, the straight people should love. For me, from this episode, learning is "LOVE".
The comment is simply nonsense. Don't generalize. There are plenty who live their spouses very much. Just because you see such negative things around you doesn't mean there are people who actually live each other. It's mostly societal influence most of the times. First of all, it's arranged marriages.
I appreciate your efforts to bring this topic in public discourse. I hope indian society will emerge more stronger n happy after the positive developments regarding homosexuality.
I agree they should be given equal marriage rights as rest of the people. It will be a big milestone in bringing gender equality also by breaking gender stereotypes in families also. There will be no mother and father but both loving parents and guardians who love their children equally and help them grow. I always find it odd why there is always father's name written in every school form and not mothers name. Now there will be always parents name will be written ❤️. Also many family have single mother or single father who plays the role of both mother and father so it would not affect children in any negative manner. Children don't need a mother or father but they need loving parents. It will be a huge step towards equality👏👏
