@@lordythegreat88 He was doing chemo treatments during the last Sabbath tour too...they would do a couple of weeks of shows, then he would spend a week or two doing chemo, then when he had a few days of recovery, he would hit the road again with Sabbath. That HAD to be brutal to go through. Tony is definitely a badass and tough as hell for going through all that and still pouring his heart and soul into putting on the best show he could for the fans.

I already loved airbourne but I never knew about his breaking his rib then to continue shredding and singing ... That's impressive I bruised my rib and couldn't breathe (I don't take pain well)
Wish there was footage of it, but I was at a show that the singer of Blue Felix broke his leg. He was hanging from the rafters of the venue, and when he let go, he came down kinda sideways, landed with one foot on the stage, one on his light-box, which was about two feet tall. He couldn't stand back up, but finished the song. They still had a couple songs in the set when it happened, but he performed them laying down, still rocking with the band and crowd the best he could. Medics took him out on a stretcher after the set. Metal! \m/
Sidenote: The headline band was Psychostick, and when they came out on stage, they were all hopping on one leg with a pained look. xD

I saw Asking Alexandria in 2012ish at the Whiskey A Go-Go in Hollywood, Ca and the singer broke his ankle stepping off the box and rolling it on a cord and he finished there set (sitting mostly but still). I know people hate on that band but he was tough as hell for that

You forgot when Chester Bennington broke his wrist when he was performing during a show in 2007, when he jumped off the stage deck and landed wrong and broke his wrist. He though Chester broke his wrist, he still continued to go on with the show with the broken wrist. THAT there is mad respect for your fans!

As someone who has broken ribs and has a considerably high pain tolerance, I find it hard to believe ANYONE can shatter not only one but 3 ribs and still sing a highly breathing intense style like Metalcore. I have injured myself in so many ways between sports and the military and breaking a rib was by far the worst injury I've felt. I'm talking everything from tearing muscles in my arms, shoulder, stomach, and hamstring, spraining both ankles constantly, ripping up my left knee ligaments, herniating a disk in my back, and head trauma and the rib injury was STILL worse. So unless he was extremely doped up and his performance afterward was severely hampered, I just don't buy it. A broken rib is just constant pain. Even standing or sitting and doing nothing is extremely painful. I even had to go as far as slinging the arm on the side of the rib I broke because ANY movement whatsoever was debilitating for several days afterwards.

Chester Bennington broke his wrist during a show in Australia, back in 2007 and and his ankle before a show in 2014. Both times, he finished the show on time and then took his time off to heal.

Ace Frehley got electrocuted. His fingers were numb and he played the whole show. He wrote "Shock Me" about it. Like a bonus.

The only time I can remember Frehley being electrocuted he was helfway up the starcase and lost his balance. When he touched the metal railing it grounded him out through his guitar. It blew him off the stairs to the stage below. He passed out and started turning blue under the makeup. He went to the hospital and didn't finish the show. He almost died that night.

Lukas Strait ... All true except he DID finish the show. Medics checked him backstage. Came back out after 20/30 minutes. It was in Florida 1977 & I was there.

The magazines back then said he went to the hospital and the rest of the show had to be cancelled. Of course, back then all we had to go on was the word of whoever wrote the article.
I had piles of magazines but they were cut to ribbons, as I cut every picture of K I⚡⚡ out of every magazine I got my hands on and thumbtacked them to the walls of my bedroom. The room was literally full of holes when we moved out of that house. There were pictures and posters and 8x10 glossies neatly covering every square inch of the walls of my room. From two feet off of the floor. And we had 10 ft. ceilings. I was an absolute mess. lol
