Please do make a video on the absurdity of helicopter enduring confrontation. I was trying to grind my newly acquired YAH-64 in this mode. The results were as following: my average lifespan was around 30 seconds, before a Vikhr missile collided with my forehead. I ended up losing a couple of thousand SL, and, for 40+ minutes of doing whatever the circumstances allowed me to do, I didn`t even manage to research a quarter of one modification. Though, I suppose, gaijin has made this mode very intentionally. Why is that? Because, the only playable helicopters here are the russian ones (obviously). They are the only one who can throw missiles at every single enemy from 8km, bullying God-forsaken AH-1Gs, Mi-24s and *ugh* poor allouettes. So, to actually do something except crying in this mode, and to actually GRIND THE HELICOPTERS (honestly, since they were added, I haven`t researched even the AH-1F), they have to pay and buy the Ka-50. Gaijin only cares about money.
I grinded my AH1G with early game rocket spam. Dumb thing to do, but actually really fun and rewarding. Nothing better than pounding leopards with 40mm and hydra rockets
After playing for hours gaijin finally blessed me with a post match drop. I already got excited when i saw that the spin was gonna land on a 50% discount for a premium vehicle. OFC you can probably already guess what vehicle i got discounted: good ol' BM 8
I still remember the BM-8-24 5 kills event, I spent an hour before it started putting sellotape on my monitor as a ranging guide, first game I had was 4 kills followed by 1 kill in a respawn - I have never been more proud/happy. (The event gate you the Katuysha as a reward) Further context: Gajin said it needed 5 kills (maybe in 1 match, I can't remember) originally but they meant 5 kills in 1 life, the ambiguity lead to thousands of support tickets so they massively lowered the requirements.
I remember the BM-8-24 kill chalenge. I was so happy i jumped out my chair when i won the chalenge and got the katusha. Wish i hadnt redemed the tank becuse it probly sells for allot. but its a realy fun tank to play
The Panzerwerfer will keep a special place to my heart - I bought it (at discount, sice it can be a bit pricy just because it's a Rocket launching vehicle) and it can be actually fun and some people will freak out when they hear those missiles launch at them. It was a bad vehicle when the HE projectiles were lackluster in damage and was sitting at a BR of 3.0, but right now I would say it's all right. It is true it's not very mobile and it does not get amazing penetration (heavy tanks like KV-1 for example will survive pretty well against it, otherwise just aim for the turret and the blast damage will pen the roof of most tanks, T-34 included) plus the paper thin armor, but it can kill, sounds quite amazing and now with a proper gun sight you can actually aim properly (it used to lack the distance markers in gunner optics). It has an MG with great elevation, although it can fire +/- 45 degrees frontally - still, it can save you from soft targets like exposed SPAAs. It's main downside though: the reload rate in cap points once all 20 rockets are spent. It takes ages - I believe 2 minutes, to reload a full salvo of 10 rockets (another 10 are available for reload), if you move an inch the reload cicle must start again. This leaves the vehicle very vulnerable since it can't defend itself. if you move - you lose the chance to get the ammo back.
@@kirishima638 nah dude I’m serious. The only downside I remember with the T-60 was that the gun took ages to reload. At it’s tier, with AP ammo, that auto cannon absolutely shreds most opponents. I also remember that it’s drowning depth was kinda funky, and it could submerge up to basically the turret ring. So the only part of the tank visible is it’s tiny little turret. I have a screenshot on my Steam (same name) of my T-60 sunk to the turret with angry eyes like a turtle. I will admit this was a few years ago, before any of the new countries asides from I think America. So I’m sure with things like maybe the early French heavies/mediums it might have trouble.
Bruh you remind me the mission event to get the katyusha rocket launcher :'0c I actually completed the misión...before they made an special mode for it where you could only face the same bm 8
The old event challenge of getting 5 kills in 1 game before your free BM8 test drive expired wasn't thought out; I cheesed it in the very last game before time ran out using arcade CAS, and I'm 90% sure an arty teamkill counted as my 5th
I struggled with the ZUT-37 when I first got it, but I think I've got the hang of it now. It's better to fire one shot at a time instead of full automatic fire unless in very close combat.
Weird, the ZUT has to be one of the most fun vehicles I ever got, got some aces with it at times and while being opentop, the turret is small enough for you to be fairly surviveable against strafing runs, especially if you move about
The Katyusha has to be on this list somewhere. Terrible pen, not enough explosive yield to overpressure, can only fire forward, 0 degree of depression so if a tank is within 20 meters you’ll sometimes shoot over it. Horrible vehicle
I have a KD above 1 with the BM-8-24 and consider it my finest WT accomplishment. It really shines on the Poland big lake map against the cannons that set up across the lake and try to snipe, they're usually all open topped or truck beds. On small or urban maps, forget it, except for the Cargo Port where you can lob rockets over the containers for kills sometimes.
I think the BM-13N is technically worse than the BM-8-24 as the 13N has 2 crew, is a truck, has a gun *DEPRESSION* of +8 and has a bad engine, machine guns can wipe your crew and you only have 31mm of pen with 8 rockets
"Only 31mm of pen" that Is almost 4x of what the BM-8-24 can pen. Also the BM-13 has hydropneumatic suspension which makes it objectively better in every way possible.
I play with the mentality of "in WT you will die at least once and will die for stupid reasons" and I usually have lots of fun, only getting irritated at like an M18 flanking my entire team or my French tank getting cross maped
You forget that the ZUT-37 has a battle bucket (also that the front plate is T-80 thickness and actually bounces rounds but the bucket is more important)
When the BM-8 came out the thing was really good. You definitely had to place rockets in the correct places because the pen was still not that great. But at the BR, you could get 5-7 kills with it if you ambushed from the flanks. Now it's so bad that you can shoot open tops and still not kill them. I've shot inside the crew compartment on a marter and it lived.
I need to revisit that tank. I used to bull rush targets, slam on the brakes, and while the tank was pitched forward the rockets would hit whatever was right ahead. That was before the change to rocket acceleration, so they possibly hit more often without the assistance of brake/pitch now.
I would have said Matilda Hedgehog, the Hedgehog mortar is so poorly modelled you can barely hit anything with it and if it gets hit the ammo is more than likely going to detonate and kill your tank (and it can detonate even when you're out of ammo for some godforsaken reason), you're essentially paying money to get a free to play tank and strap on something that makes it objectively worse
I actually did all right in the ZUT...even killed a few planes. Mind you I used a 150 crew and Expert and Ace XD The LVT 4/40 is going to 3.0 anyway (Would have preferred it to be 2.7 but oh well) it needed the move to break up the 2.3 line up of death with the B1ter
@@lalad0 at 3.0 it faces tanks it cannot pen anywhere - any of the KVs, T34s it can only side shot low, Shermans side shot, Churchill through its MG port. Anything with HEAT can kill it in 1 hit

Interesting… last time I played it the BM-8-24 seemed pretty fantastic. Can’t remember what the rockets penned back then, but they were very reliably killing whole teams
I remember the event for the BM-13 (wish I had kept that coupon...), before they introduced the new shell penetration formula. I faintly remember killing a Matilda with the BM-8-24, and if I still remember correctly, it was the last kill I needed for the 13N.
Every gold box reward I got for the longest time were BM-8-24 test drives. I wish I could take all the free backups off it. The fact you can't aim the rack down and the chassis is the T-60 with that awful rocking chair suspension makes it painful in the current meta of time traveling OP wagons.
90% of BM-8-24 owners only got it because it was a pre requisite for the Katyusha event. It was one of the go premiums and at one point was decent, but absolutely left in the dust and should’ve been removed years ago.
As a Naval player, I think the USS Welborn C. Wood is the worst premium. It’s a copy paste of the USS Litchfield. But both have 4, dinky 4-inch cannons with a slow reload, no aa, the cannons don’t get aa rounds, poorly placed torpedo tubes, weak torpedos, a bad rangefinder, mediocre speed, low crew/survivability. + Naval compression has it facing exponentially better destroyers, it can’t stop any plane bombing or rocketing it, and it can’t protect itself from fast torpedo boats either. Therefore, it is literally useless against any kind of threat in naval besides a small gunboat (unless they disable your guns first, then u still lose). The only thing is benefits from is the strong US aircraft that can complement it, but GL even getting enough points for them. It’s honestly not even worth the ≈ $2
2:20 What? Independent is a CAS magnet? CANT BE! We put an AA turret on it! Also, I actually do love the ZUT-37, because I play it more as a light tank. Its pretty fast and nimble, and the gun is still kinda lethal to most things around due to the 5 round bursts. Turret traverse is an issue, but only if you dont use foresight and dont use the hull to help, and to me the only unforgivable sin on it is the ammo count, as the gun eats through it very quickly, especially when youre like me and still carry 2/3 HE just in case a Stuka flies head first at me.
All of the tier 1 premiums except for the meme vehicles. For the simple reason that you can't level very far with them, they are usually not any better than other tier 1 vehicles, and even without them and without premium you will level into tier 2 and tier 3 so fast that you'll get maybe a day or two of gameplay out if them before it's no longer reasonable to keep using them to level up. So you'll only go back to them when you're already in top tier for the occasional fun match at low tier.
I know you can’t really do the same idea twice in a row, but maybe the worst premium for every tier? Both of these were low tier, but I’m curious what would be the worst for the other tiers
Disagree on ZUT-37 Penetration was okay when I last time played the game. If you don't hit, pen, kill crewman or damage any components you have second, third, fourth and fifth shot to do it. Also, I consider it as light tank, not AA. And spawn cost as AA is great asset to have. Ofc you have to adapt gameplay to it a bit, but if you want, you can get decent amount of kills. Fun to play, fast, quick reload, okay pen, armor can stand most 20mm cannons for some time
so I am curious for ppl reading this comment, whats worst premium tank you have bought and what is the best ? For me worst Ro-Go ( mostly bought it because it has a funny name and its a japanese heavy tank ) and best is Chi-Ha Short Gun ( bought it because it has a ridiculous gun and its kind of funny looking )
Best is my AVRE, I have entirely too much fun in that thing. I had been playing for years before I got it, and it very quickly afterwards became my top lion earning vehicle. Crew aced long ago, and it doesn’t leave my UK lineup at all once BR allows it in. Worst would be the Black Prince. Churchill armour competing with guns that laugh at it and a top speed that can be outmatched by quadruple amputees. The gun is ok, but doesn’t make up for / excuse the rest of the vehicle. It’s like driving a less lethal Maus without any of the armour.
For the record, I do have the rocket vehicles featured in this video. I don’t field those expecting them to accomplish anything, they’re just to muck around in. So essentially they don’t count by my reckoning
Surprised that katyuszka (or whatever they called it) isn't on the spot. It's literally a truck with rockets which cant fire at either long or short range
Who would have guessed that self-propelled rocket launchers are bad at shooting tanks. Almost like they were forcibly mashed into the game as a cheap money grab...

I got the zut because of a discount I got as a reward and to be perfectly honest, I disagree with this. Just treat it like an autoloader. I actually quite liked it while I was using it. It's a good ambush vehicle with its high mobility, fire rate and tap firing. The landships are all way worse vehicles than the zut.
Love the subnautica background music
Please do make a video on the absurdity of helicopter enduring confrontation. I was trying to grind my newly acquired YAH-64 in this mode. The results were as following:
my average lifespan was around 30 seconds, before a Vikhr missile collided with my forehead.
4:17 I want to see you get 5 kills in it
Honestly i have the zut and i find it extremely fun, the way to play it is just to full auto tanks and use the speed,
After playing for hours gaijin finally blessed me with a post match drop.
(The event gate you the Katuysha as a reward)
Further context: Gajin said it needed 5 kills (maybe in 1 match, I can't remember) originally but they meant 5 kills in 1 life, the ambiguity lead to thousands of support tickets so they massively lowered the requirements.
I remember the BM-8-24 kill chalenge. I was so happy i jumped out my chair when i won the chalenge and got the katusha. Wish i hadnt redemed the tank becuse it probly sells for allot. but its a realy fun tank to play
I somehow was gifted the BM24. If the tanks don't kill you the CAS will.
I'd really love to see a "best premium tanks to grind with for each nation" video. It'd make the slog just a little more bearable.
T-60: amazing and super fun
T-60 with rockets mounted to some goofy scaffolding: >:(
You’re trolling. The T-60 is awful.
@@kirishima638 T-60 is fun in some situations lmao
Bruh you remind me the mission event to get the katyusha rocket launcher :'0c
I actually completed the misión...before they made an special mode for it where you could only face the same bm 8
Weird, the ZUT has to be one of the most fun vehicles I ever got, got some aces with it at times and while being opentop, the turret is small enough for you to be fairly surviveable against strafing runs, especially if you move about
I thought the worst Canon Vehicle was gonna be the ALMIGHTY Ro-Go.
It's clearly the best vehicle to learn how to range your enemies at close range.
I’d say both the Ro-Go and Nb.Fz. are worse than the ZUT-37.
@@EagleKai I regret nothing more than acquiring the nbfz
1:10 i lost it laughing, "....the first i tried to get a refund for"
that in itself sounds like an interesting video(s)
4:02 I disagree. Playing it gives you depression.
The Independent is pretty cool though, basically the British T-28.
I think the BM-13N is technically worse than the BM-8-24 as the 13N has 2 crew, is a truck, has a gun *DEPRESSION* of +8 and has a bad engine, machine guns can wipe your crew and you only have 31mm of pen with 8 rockets
You're much faster and the rockets are far far better than the bm 8 24
I love my katyusha. Plus it has hydraulics and you can drop the nose down. You're right about machine guns though
"Only 31mm of pen" that Is almost 4x of what the BM-8-24 can pen.
Also the BM-13 has hydropneumatic suspension which makes it objectively better in every way possible.
Everytime spookston says "if your looking to upgrade" it sounds like hes saying "if youre looking upgrade"
1:55 wait
*what*
Would’ve also liked to see which is the worst rank 3-6 premium as well or the worst top tier premium
Instead of "the worst" may you please make a "bad" list for premiums?
i love the subnautica sound in the background lol
4:18 this thing is GOATED in Enlisted, you can kill sooo many infantry with it
The thumbnail is just like “who’s that pokemon”. And I am proud to say I guessed right
I play with the mentality of "in WT you will die at least once and will die for stupid reasons" and I usually have lots of fun, only getting irritated at like an M18 flanking my entire team or my French tank getting cross maped
You know what makes them better tho? The brand new Spookton decal!
I'm very surprised there was no mention of Ro-Go.
You forget that the ZUT-37 has a battle bucket (also that the front plate is T-80 thickness and actually bounces rounds but the bucket is more important)
Spookston has been sponsored by apex more times then I’ve got kills in war thunder
Yeah i didnt think there was a UA-cam that did make war Thunder content this is so cool
I'm really surprised that the Cromwell V (RP-3) didn't pop up cause it's rockets are unaimable
Yea but the cromwell is still a solid tank
I need to revisit that tank. I used to bull rush targets, slam on the brakes, and while the tank was pitched forward the rockets would hit whatever was right ahead.
That was before the change to rocket acceleration, so they possibly hit more often without the assistance of brake/pitch now.
The first tank looks like something someone make on sprocket for their first build
The event you mentioned, if you played it in arcade the kills with spawned planes counted, so it wasn't that hard.
What??? The ZUT 37 is awesome! First premium I ever got it and was always effective for me when I was new to the game.
I love the subnautica music in the background
The A1E1 independent definitely has it’s flaws.
I actually did all right in the ZUT...even killed a few planes. Mind you I used a 150 crew and Expert and Ace XD The LVT 4/40 is going to 3.0 anyway (Would have preferred it to be 2.7 but oh well) it needed the move to break up the 2.3 line up of death with the B1ter
it needs 3.3 imo
@@lalad0 at 3.0 it faces tanks it cannot pen anywhere - any of the KVs, T34s it can only side shot low, Shermans side shot, Churchill through its MG port. Anything with HEAT can kill it in 1 hit
@@jyralnadreth4442 tbh I'd Remove it completely, low br = completely OP and too high br means useless. I've been grinding the Swedish lately, and the first 2 weeks of the BP I practically could J out of the French were in the enemy team as they always were level 100 veterans trashing on all my team and bullying everyone. And when they were on my side they were taking all the kills and I couldn't get to have any kills pretty much. This tank means so much pain for me I just wish they remove it
@@lalad0 only the su 122 bias can kill it at 2.3
@@GENERICNICK-kj4lm Any 75mm firing HEAT can kill it in 1 shot...The Ro Go, the NBFz, the T35, the M8 Scott etc etc etc -they are all lower than 2.0. Now it needed to move to break up the OP lineup at 2.3 with the B1's...but its not undefeatable.
worst is the black prince imho. When they introduced the heatfs at that br, and lowered some bigger tanks, that thing is pretty useless. It should be 5.0
Oh, BM-8-24, i still remember 2017 event with katyusha, before they made special event battle for these things only it was incredibly frustrating to attempt to get those 5 kills in a single battle
One can't simply say that a tank is bad when it has a bucket hanging behind it. After all, it is spaced armor lol
3:34 Bruh you just got arty'd mid-flight
Interesting… last time I played it the BM-8-24 seemed pretty fantastic. Can’t remember what the rockets penned back then, but they were very reliably killing whole teams
I remember the event for the BM-13 (wish I had kept that coupon...), before they introduced the new shell penetration formula. I faintly remember killing a Matilda with the BM-8-24, and if I still remember correctly, it was the last kill I needed for the 13N.
ZUT-37 is a beast. Love it to death in my 2.7 lineup.
What do you thinks the worst event vehicle?
katyusha truck sounds like a nice start.
@@MetalX34 worst non-rocket?
The stdkfz with the 37mm pea shooter. Literally no reason to play it.
thx for using the subnautica soundtrack :)
Every gold box reward I got for the longest time were BM-8-24 test drives. I wish I could take all the free backups off it. The fact you can't aim the rack down and the chassis is the T-60 with that awful rocking chair suspension makes it painful in the current meta of time traveling OP wagons.
Omg that rain tho
It looks so gooooood
+
Naval compression has it facing exponentially better destroyers, it can’t stop any plane bombing or rocketing it, and it can’t protect itself from fast torpedo boats either. Therefore, it is literally useless against any kind of threat in naval besides a small gunboat (unless they disable your guns first, then u still lose).
The only thing is benefits from is the strong US aircraft that can complement it, but GL even getting enough points for them.
It’s honestly not even worth the ≈ $2
Ah yes, when you think buying premium helps you escape the suffering.
Holy shit that boi is wide
I wish the Katyusha event will come back as it probably is easier to get at least 3 K with the BM-8-24 due to having more paper thin armor.
Well, in Test drive, the Panzerwerfer even kills T-44 from the front if aimed right
I know you can’t really do the same idea twice in a row, but maybe the worst premium for every tier? Both of these were low tier, but I’m curious what would be the worst for the other tiers
After watching the PhlyDaily video I already knew the answer here
Absolutely the bm8. I did a3 hour stream with that thing for the memes and only managed one or two lucky kills. That thing is abysmal.
Black Prince. Redundant by the time it hit the field in reality. Redundant the moment it spawns.
Disagree on ZUT-37
Penetration was okay when I last time played the game.
Fun to play, fast, quick reload, okay pen, armor can stand most 20mm cannons for some time
is it just me or did you edit ghpc audio in with the gameplay? amazing.
I love the BM-8-24 unironically, when you expect to have a garbage game its loads of fun to just spam rockets at tanks
If anybody wants the crew voice spookston has its the GHPC crew lines on WT live.
so I am curious for ppl reading this comment, whats worst premium tank you have bought and what is the best ?
Like the subnautica music in the background
Surprised that katyuszka (or whatever they called it) isn't on the spot. It's literally a truck with rockets which cant fire at either long or short range
Not me, who specifically bought both of those vehicles for enjoyment purposes lmao
Who would have guessed that self-propelled rocket launchers are bad at shooting tanks. Almost like they were forcibly mashed into the game as a cheap money grab...
You broke my heart dissing on the ZUT
