Two Words...BAD BOY. I swear working with Diddy is like a career death sentence. He'll give you a big boost and then you barely hear from these people again. I was rooting for Dream so bad back then.
MTV used to play only music videos in the morning. And they would repeat the same videos each day. I remember getting ready for school and watching this video.
I was a teen during this time. I've never heard of them. Here from the documentary. Stopped the song after 36 sec and immediately knew why I had never heard of them.
Even Louise sounded like this I've just remembered. And Britney,Christina,Billie Piper and a few others. Copy cat 5 min wonders. Today we have Ariana, the solo 5th Harmony singers, or that weird Ava Max
This is exactly like every other pop music video from 1999-2001: the bubblegum style of music, the dance moves, the harmonies, the half-shirts and track pants, the graphics, the beach scene, the climbing up the wall, etc.
I'm sure I'm not the only one that hears this and immediately thinks of flipping through Limited Too Catalogues, rearranging my room with blow up furniture, and using way too much Bath and Body Works Roll-On Glitter?
This video checks the list off for late 90’s early 2000’s music videos. Dancing in the desert, upside down or climbing in the walls, weird platform dance studio area, the outfits, and the music 😂
Yep many of the N'Sync videos, Get Down by BSB, Oops I Did It Again by Britney Spears.... I remember Christina Aguilera having some kind of spaceship thing too... The reason they didn't last is because there was so much of this kind of music, beats, fashion and dance out there so you had to stand out or you were gone... 5ive isn't around anymore... New Kids and 98 Degrees came back.... I miss Blackstreet, Next, KC and Jojo, Jodeci, EMF.... So many just had a few hits or an album and they were gone...

Two Words...BAD BOY. I swear working with Diddy is like a career death sentence. He'll give you a big boost and then you barely hear from these people again. I was rooting for Dream so bad back then.
Seriously what happened on pretty much every season of Making The Band is real: The groups have one or two albums then he drops them.
I didn't know they worked with Diddy..
Same with Robyn Antin. Creator of The Pussycat Dolls, Girlicious, Paradiso Girls and G.R.L
@@laurendrawdy9446 ... He put them on!
To quote the album title: It Was All a Dream.
I'm 27, its 2020, and I remember every word of this damn song
I'm 20 and I love this
Im 28 and I remember it. Im a guy and heard this song so dang much growing up. This was my moms favorite song ughhh
Same here. I'm 27 years old. This is one of my favorite childhood songs.
I'm 35 and i still know all the words lol
BTW, I'm a guy. When I sing this song, I actually say "SHE Loves U Not".
This albums had some jams. Not just this record but like 5 others as well. I still jam to this album to this day. Love DREAM.
MTV used to play only music videos in the morning. And they would repeat the same videos each day. I remember getting ready for school and watching this video.
Who’s here in 2019 and missing these years?
Andre3K I’m here. Still loving this in 2019❤️👍🎵🎧🎶🎼🎤😎💕

Wonder what happened to them

I wish this group never broke up ,they were perfect and amazing harmonizing while singing ❤❤❤❤
This use to be considered second or third class pop, but now it sounds better than most of the pop songs that are out today.
That's not true. Backstreet Boys did it better.
Nah this song was a bop. They played it all the time. Puffy screwed them over like everyone else. They were the predecessors for Danity Kane.
@@wheatbread2002 yup.
There are no pop songs now

Gel pen type.
Hahahahaha yes! They nailed it
90s babies here this was the jam back in the day❤
Who’s here in 2024 because you actually listened to this growing up 😏
I was a teen during this time. I've never heard of them. Here from the documentary. Stopped the song after 36 sec and immediately knew why I had never heard of them.
i love this song.
Me,never heard of them. I've heard this song back in the day,but never knew who sang it.😂😂😂😂
Yes
me, they don't make music like this anymore
I can't believe this song is 21 years old! It definitely doesn't feel that long ago.
Take me back to my senior year in high school....2001. I miss the early 00s and when pop music like this was on the radio and nothing sounded alike.
Even Louise sounded like this I've just remembered. And Britney,Christina,Billie Piper and a few others. Copy cat 5 min wonders. Today we have Ariana, the solo 5th Harmony singers, or that weird Ava Max
I can't be the only one who thinks the chorus sounds like a slowed down version of It's Gonna Be Me
Yessss 😂 my daughter and I felt the same way we got confused and both songs started to blend out of our mouths
Andrea Avila so is the choreography lol
Ha it is 💀
The dance too
Oh crap...
Only now I realize this!
The music started and it was like a single day hadn't passed as all the lyrics immediately came flooding back.
Anyone here jamming during COID-19?- Stay safe and boogie!
Amy Santana been here always b4
😄 😄 😄
Amy Santana eating animals will always lead to pandemics ❤️ go vegan 😘😘😘
Have gambled away 80 K in the casino but this song keeps me happy
Yes!
This embodies the early Oughts perfectly. Frosty eyeshadow, low rise pants, streaked highlights, aggressive dance routines.
This is exactly like every other pop music video from 1999-2001: the bubblegum style of music, the dance moves, the harmonies, the half-shirts and track pants, the graphics, the beach scene, the climbing up the wall, etc.
and the futuristic theme.
And I couldn't love it anymore 💀
What a jam!!! 🔥🔥🔥 I was 18 when this was released! Takes me back to the simpler times!
Holy shit, this is still a certified banger.
👌🏽
Not feeling any cringe listening to this 👌
I used to have this song on my hit clips lmao it only played 14 seconds of the song but it was okay 😂😂
OMG hit clips 😂😂
Those 14 seconds slapped tho!!
it's on a Spotify playlist Girl Power
Hit clips were the best
Me too!!!
I'm sure I'm not the only one that hears this and immediately thinks of flipping through Limited Too Catalogues, rearranging my room with blow up furniture, and using way too much Bath and Body Works Roll-On Glitter?
You literally described 12 year old me 🤣
yesss
You know I wrote down this song in my fuzzy diary with a locket
😂😂😂😂
@@waitahawhat 😂😂😂 with the fury pen
This video checks the list off for late 90’s early 2000’s music videos. Dancing in the desert, upside down or climbing in the walls, weird platform dance studio area, the outfits, and the music 😂
And don't forget the bright, heavy eyeshadow on the women! Blue, silver, purple...
The group, the aesthetics, the lyrics, the beat, the dancing... just sums up pop music 97’-03’
I think it's time for all 90's-2000's need a reunion. That would be FIREE! 🔥 💜
The neck rolls were serious back then!!! 😂😂😂
Looking like bobble heads
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣Facts. Britney Spears still does it lol
And air grabs. Lots of air grabs.

nothing says 2000s more than those backing vocal "echoes" - love it!
Why did every single teen pop music video from the late 90s-early 00s took place in the same 'futuristic' spaceship looking thing?
Y2k aesthetic
New millennium bro. Until 9/11 we were optimistic
And the same dance moves, the same costumes, the same harmonies, etc.
@@raegibson3066 Yeah, that whole look and sound was on overkill from 1999-2001. Every pop song from that era sounded just like all the others. It was like the radio just kept playing different variations of the same song! I liked “Hit Me Baby One More Time” at first, but then I got soooooooo sick of the whole sound, long before many of my friends did. Thankfully, that era didn’t last long, and in a few years, even Britney Spears had a completely new sound. I remember hearing “Toxic” for the first time and thinking, “Huh, I actually LIKE this.”
Gel roller pens, adida shoes, Jan sport backpacks, butterfly clips, tasseled belts, soda flip flops, caramel apple pops, walkmans 😩
@Daniel Alexander Still buy the gel pens they write Soooooo smooooooth. I love me some good pens
so accurate!! 🤣🤣🤣
Those were the days.. so much to not have to worry about aha
Yiu forgot the Wired neck chockers
Hahahaha YES! Gel pens lol and caramel apple pops u called it haha good stuff
I'm almost 38 yrs old and still this era of music is my happy place... And the fact that I use to be in an actual dance group that learned all the choreography from these songs lmao... Please don't ask😂😂😂
Same here ❤ I'll turn 40 this year and the 96-2000 pop music is my happy place ❤

This song never gets old. When I’m 50 I’ll still be jamming out to this track!
These girls played a free concert at my MIDDLE school the year they made it big!! They were unknown when we saw them and shortly after they blew up and were all over MTV. I listen to this as a thirty year old man today and think back on that memory laughing to myself and singing every word...lol
That sounds fun lmfao goodbye 💀
I remember being obsessed with this song I was 10-11. I feel so old 😥 lol.
Well better wish upon a star cuz they are promising a comeback album this year.
“you could pick a field full of daisies/but he’d still be my baby” feels shakespearean and no, i don’t think that’s overstating things
lmfao, goodbye 💀...pure poetry
I love EVERYTHING about this song, video and group. It’s perfection.
Listen to this song back to back with N'Sync's It's Gonna Be Me. There are a LOT of similarities that somehow never resulted in a lawsuit.
Dude this song took me baaaaaaack. fuck i'm getting old.
I am there with you lol
No, your not getting old but your getting mature. Then, there's heaven ... What it will be at 60 years old ... Oh wow I can just imagine now 😊
No matter the genre this era of music was the last of really good music …
I mean I wouldnt go that far. It was the last of cheasy girl/boy bands. Its very nostalgic and it was perfect for me growing up as a kid and preteen. I love it but I can admit it was cheesy.
I was crazy about this when I was a kid. Every time the video came on, I'd turn the volume on the t.v. all the way up and my mom would be like "TURN THAT MESS DOWN!" Lol. Memories.
😂😪😪
😂😂😂😂😂
Same!!
Nowadays music is more messy,I mean this one is a beautiful song.
Ah yes, ye good ole days of random fire in the background, car chases in the desert, matching outfits, and on point dance routines right throughout the video... 90s/2000s, such a lovely, simpler time! 😁
This era is the reason I'm addicted to kpop now lol couldn't get over the girl/boy group dynamic
Anyone else notice how much we loved dressing like this? Yet our kids are learning it’s all back in style 😂
Ahhh memories! Disney Channel(when it was still good) used to play this video non stop back in 2000. I also remember seeing this on TRL to. This song was big. It reached #2 on the billboard hot 100. It was blocked by Destiny's Child Independent Woman for the #1 spot on the hot 100.
