      Chris T Tuia thanks for subscribing! When were you in Samoa last?
      I lived in Pago until i was 5, but lost my Samoan when we moved to the States. So we wanted to come back to Samoa to relearn the language and help our daughters learn the language and culture as well. Just to give them a solid foundation for what it means to be Samoan and help them reconnect to their roots. Hopefully it’s a lasting experience for them for the rest of their lives that they’ll be able to help instill into their own children someday.

    I moved to Samoa from Australia back in 2009, and hands down my best schooling years were at LDS CCP! My first thought of the uniform was the same (ugly) and colour choice didn’t help aswel 😂 the cultural and environment shock is real but wouldn’t change for my experience for the world! Your daughter will love it! Seeing that you are members, have you visited the other Mormon village called Sauniatu ? It’s a must do! Im from there. It’s beautiful, sacred and rich in church history!

      +Rubina Tauasa, thanks for the comment!! So are you still in Samoa then? Or did you move back to Oz? Zara is loving it here and Samoa and Pesega have welcomed her so kindly!! We went to Sauniatu in 2013 when we came to visit for the first time. We haven’t made it back yet. But it is certainly on our list! The waterfall there was simply amazing!! Cheap but not really "fast food"
      You just need to know what to order or wing it. Theres no obvious menu that you could look at.
      Basically they cook the standard Samoan food one would eat. Rice,Taro,Chicken,Sausages, Chop Suey etc etc.
      The price is very good. Even for locals its a bit more affordable.

    I don't see how zara or the girls are able to progress in school it's an under developed island nation

    • @JAMilyTV
      @JAMilyTV  5 років тому +1

      You’re right. It is an underdeveloped nation. But not like you would think. Education is a priority if you make it a priority. And the private schools are using curriculum from New Zealand and Zara actually skipped from the end of 8th grade in the States to the equivalent of the middle of 10th grade here. So she’ll graduate when she’s 16. But we are going to have her do some online high school courses from BYU so she gets enough credits to be able to qualify for US universities. And for the younger girls, we’re not too concerned. They’re learning and we supplement their education so they’ll be solid if/when we head back. 🤙 When was the last time you got to visit Samoa?
