Matt Murphy I did. But theeeeen....got to know the modules well. And a lot of them were underwhelming. Reverb sucks. The control rocks...but it’s too quiet...kills the balls from the DPO, Rene is really fun: programming is playing it...but it’s so big...Morphagene also, sounds so quiet, especially when you slow down the speed ...I could go on and on.

Surachai cracks me up, he thinks he's so edgy and cool and he just comes off as being really insecure in this video. He has been walking around like this ever since he entered the "scene" The guy knows what he's talking about and his demeanor is part of who he is, he is not insecure, he is just like that. He also owns BL_K NOISE, the label he runs with Drumcell (Hypoxia). Ironically Surachai was also the curator of Make Noise Records with Tony Rolando that has released music by Richard Devine, Alessandro Cortini, and Hypoxia. It's also completely personal whether or not you deem someone to be more influential, just because someone is more well known doesn't make him or her,... more influential...it's not like Richard inspired a cult following or brought an entire new genre into existence, He didn't reinvent something to such an extent that everyone is mimicking his way of making soundscapes or music for that matter. He's good don't get me wrong but he's not a genre bender, trend setter or and innovative musician. He experiments a lot and has a lot of friends in the modular world. But that's where in my personal opinion it pretty much stops. I haven't heard a production of Richard in the past 5 years, where I went like Wauw, that sounds different or mesmerizing,..So another league is also kind of pushing it. It's all a matter of taste. We are all but mortal humans, no one is above or below someone else. I enjoy them both, But I would even dare to argue that edgelord is pushing more boundaries then Richard, and trust me I'm not a fanboy...Anyways sorry for this rant, but just had to share my thoughts on the matter...Have a magnificent day...

I just happen to have a bit of a good memory when it comes to remembering stuff about stuff, my friends call me the encyclopedia of nonsense knowledge...I met him a couple of years back and had sort of a conversation with him backstage which lasted for almost an hour, he's a real laidback dude. I just don't get why you take that much offense based on this video. The guy is just a bit lackluster and to me he doesn't seem arrogant at all, he's just bored because he probably got paid too little to be there, and he doesn't like to be around people, the guy is an introvert and not used to being in an open setting. I kind of have gotten to know why he is that way, because of that conversation. He is also just a bit disinterested, because he knows his stuff and probably also really tired from something I explained in my first comment. If a hundred people come up to you asking the same questions over and over again, you tend to act that way. And if you are socially awkward, well...that's what you get as well. I understand that part of his behavior. Whether or not that is professional is again entirely personal. I would hire people based on what I like and the person best suited for the job. But apparently guys like Richard, otto von shirach, teenageriot and many others for some kind of reason still do want to work together with this "unprofessional guy" I think that the people that know him can punch through that, because they understand who he is... ganz ehrlich gesagt, bin ich etwas enttäuscht. Devine benutzt speicherkarten ... letztlich spielt er Presets ab.
