- The duo are the penultimate and ultimate music pieces in Handel's Judas Maccabaeus performed on D major. Listed in Part/Act III of this oratorio by George Frideric Handel composed in 1746, it is a call to Judah to rejoice following their victory against the Seleucid empire which had oppressed them to worship Zeus. This victory seemed to be very exceptional as the lyrics of the one calls heavenly Cherubs and Seraphs to join in singing 'hallelujah'. The people indeed rejoice that peace had at last come to their country and they could worship the Almighty God.
Thousands of reasons to Rejoice!!! Thank you Lord 🙌🙌🙌🙌
