Man i love your work, i wanted to do this to my e38 but im a student and not working, about your not selfcentering steering, i dont know if you know but this has to do with your wheelalignment, if your alignment is correct, your scrubangle is probably off (this may occur if you use spacers, i dont know if you used some as i follow you intermittently..)
thanks, with going to the E60 subframe there are many areas where the front geometry might be off. initially there was no self centering at all, like none it would stick where you turned it too. the cause was 100% the steering shaft being too tight with the extra UJ fitted. Since the shaft has been redone it fixed the issue instantly and the self centering came back. I need to finish the column properly now as I only temporarily changed it for testing purposes. I don't have spacers fitted but the front track is wider than stock with the E60 subframe so this will affect everything. Now the column setup has been changed the car drives nice now, I've not properly pushed it but initial feeling is good 😁
@@rodknockers2036 damn, just the steeringshaft solved it, i am happy for you! Please put up more videos on youtube once you'll start putting up riding videos your channel wil blow up, mark my words :) i am patiently waiting for your videos where you go full throttle :))
@Soner d. yeah I was very lucky that it solved the issue. I had the car on the alignment machine while still working on the subframe placement as I was worried about getting the caster correct hoping the steering would be ok. Wow thanks! means a lot, I'll just keep doing what I'm doing if it goes somewhere it would be great! I've got so many ideas for projects, obviously the financial side holds things back the same as everyone else really.
Awesome video man, keep up the good work.
thanks man 👍
