"Believe In Something" is one of 3 originals that we wrote for the new album "Happy Like That". It is Mat's favorite from the album for so many different reasons. It takes you on a journey - a journey that we all hopefully get to take at some point in our lives. It gives us hope that even through our trials, if we are honest and good and kind, the light WILL find us. We are never alone. I hope you can feel that as you watch this video. God always sends what I need. My mother died 4 years ago and for several weeks I have become so lost and feel like I am sinking in the sand without her. She had the ability to guide me through all the horrible things in our world. She guided me to scripture. She said exactly what I needed to hear.. I am so glad of the blessings we receive from your heart and music. God bless.

I truly believe Savanna is one of the rare singers whose voice is so ethereal, it floats. Rarely do I hear a vocal so delicate and fragile, it seems to want to float away and leave this mortal coil of its own volition. But underneath the delicacy is a tense, steely strength, flinty, determined. The vocals are delicate but the lyrics and musical underpinnings are so ugly, raw, messy, uncomfortable. This juxtaposition of the delicate with the ugly and Mat's harmonization plus the chorus is what makes the song work. And it's a winner. The light has found you.
After getting through blindness, paralysis, over a dozen or more surgeries and brain cancer, I had forgotten this aspect of my life. I used to play musical instruments with ease and when I became hemiplegic I thought I had lost my world. I forgot we can always sing and I do sing as often as I can. I have fun with both parts and it truly makes my life worth living. I’m so glad that I found you. It’s proof there are no accidents in this world. You are truly blessed and I am for having found you.

I had an immediate remembrance of the song "You Raise Me Up", as I could hear it in the first few moments of your song. Not exactly the same, but very similar.
