Great review. I have the 10L Pilot and agree with all you said and am also using as my EDC with my MBP 14. I also have the NYA-EVO Fjord 36C and agree on design and build. Great minds I guess. I'm considering the Wandrd Prvke 31L so I can carry my Z9/Zf and a few lenses with a deeper storage.
Most intelligent video on the topic I've seen to date. All the "ultimate bag" videos fringe on click bait because quite frankly, unless you always shoot exactly the same thing under exactly the same circumstances, you will probably need 2 or more solutions. I have a Nya-Evo 60 for nature and travel where photography is the focus. I have a Think Tank Retrospective 10v2 for unobtrusive, spontaneous street photography, and I am still looking for an "in between" solution.
Absolutely agree! I have the Fjord 60 as well and am looking for something smaller, yet with the same features, for city tours. It's an impossible task. I have bought and then sold countless slings and backpacks because upon trying them out they didn't work for me even though from watching review videos they seemed perfect 😅
I really wish Wandrd had a version of the Prvke with a plain old zipper-access for the top compartment. I hate rolltops. I don't get the concept. Excess material and bad visibility to whatever is inside plus a hassle to get to the stuff you carry. In real life, how often does one REALLY need that level of waterproof that you won't want to have zippers :-( I love the material and the colors they offer but the rolltop is an absolute no-go for me. Thanks for reviewing the Wotancraft bag, hadnt heard about them befofe but that one really looks interesting.
Great content! Watching this made me purchase the Wotancraft khaki brown, but in 7L. Btw, what’s the black sling/fanny pack in the bottom right of your thumbnail?
All great bags! My fav is the Prvke Lite. Btw, nice set up! Looks great. What light and modifier did you use here? Also is that a mic attached to a magnet on your jumper? What mic you use? Surprised it picked up the audio so well through the jumper.
I was literally just looking at the Wotan Craft Pilot yesterday! Glad to see that it's got your tick of approval!
Very nice. As a Wotancraft Pilot 7L and Wandrd Prvke 21L owner, I approve. 😆 Great overview and breakdown of bag type per use case.
Hey Chris nice selection of bags - love the NYA-EVO FJORD 60-C nice pack to fit all the gear and as you mention it is super comfortable and sturdy ✌

I want one of those side bags, so rad.

Yeah it’s just the DJI Mic 1, standard soft box and one light
Nice! I've got the Wandrd Prvke 21L and it's a seriously awesome bag. Totally agree on that little tab you cut out, wtf is its job??
I know right lol. Like they thought “hey we’ve got this extra material should we just wind people up” 😂
@@ChrisTurnerPhotographer @MikeStevens that tab is to "rip" open that compartment. you can just rip it open and don't have to use the zipper pulls.
You don’t appear to mention it but it looks like your Wotencraft Pilot is the 10L version from your links. Can you confirm this? Take care.
Yeah. I was wondering the same. Been on the brink of buying one for a while but don’t want to mess up sizing.
@@j.sauer.photo_ the only thing stoping me is choosing black or tan. What do you think?
Yeah it’s the 10L
What size of the WotanCraft do you have?
10L
