Sometimes I consider this my fave PSB album. I think that pound for pound certain albums are superior, but Electric is perhaps the most realised ALBUM they ever did. It's truly fantastic. I strongly recommend any fans who are not yet familiar to listen to it immeditaely.

Not on all BBC radios Only BBC1 and yes Boys are also not playlisted there because of their old age. But it is the biggest radio station that all teenagers listen to so if you are playlisted in BBC1, it is very likely that you will chart very high. BBC2 supports Madonna and PSB very much but the audience is not that big to help them chart.
It is truly sad, because Madonna, Pet Shop Boys, and other artists were, are, and will always be ICONS and cutting edge futurists, who always come out with the best work. The work these artists have done, and are still doing, is beyond what any newer artist could even fathom, and these same "old" artists are at their very best right now, and outdoing even themselves, in terms of quality. Ageism is horrible. It never should be about age, but rather, talent and VISION.
PSB fan since the early years, got every album, always loved what they have done but this was so unexpected and absolutlely brilliant, cant stop playing it, cant wait to hear what else the new album has to offer! Go Neil and Chris!!

I just realised the reason for the orange cone at the beginning. Who remembers the artwork and strange costumes with orange cone headwear for their 1993 'Very' album? 'Axis' was released in 2013, the 20th anniversary of the album 'Very'. The boys outfits in this video as well as the video itself are more advanced versions of the 'Can You Forgive Her?' video (also off the album 'Very') released 20 years before. Go back and watch 'Can You Forgive Her?' and you'll see the parallel between the two videos. Very clever.
Watching this video on the Smash video extras blu-ray, is like watching it for the very first time once again, and in the way it was meant to be watched 10 years ago.
Just got back from The Pet Shop Boys concert in Boston. They opened the night with Axis, and seeing the music video on stage was mind-blowing. Amazing concert and album overall.
