It's tasty. Period correct I'd say, not too obnoxious, but still gives you that old school JDM grunt of the V6's
The way those long 4 speeds sound just hits different more me. Of course it's a burden to the cars performance but something about that huge change in rpm on shift is so cool.
Looks much better than competitive Japanese cars from this era. A true classic.
This thing retailed for $28k, or $56kk in todays money.
That's insane.
That should be a collectors item
JDM Legend
Sounds good.. this a nice rare car .never heard of this...but like it
I owned the 1999 model absolute classic it was.
Nice 👌 don't see these on the road every day
gotta love the VQ🙌🏾
Nice vip car! Needs some 20’s
Very cool car. I would have gone with 2.5 inch pipe to let it breathe better. Overall, pretty good setup.
@@brandonruhl1639 no. He said 2.25 pipe. Listen closely lol
2 and a half quarter
@@drbumripper lol yeah, he corrected himself halfway through
So I had a 97 Maxima (VQ30DE) with a catless Ypipe, test pipe and 2.5” mandrel bent B pipe to a rear section with a Borla Pro XS muffler to a Borla tip. Sounded very nice and aggressive with no rasp even with the wide open exhaust. Just enough aggressiveness with no drone at highway speeds unless it was lugging in 5th gear. That’s something I miss
Beautiful car🤌
the dtm exhaust sounds good
Wow, 81000 kilometers. Nice
I was fortunate enough to pick one up in november that has just over 50,000km or around 31k miles verified original milage. Arrives soon I am so excited.
@@OriginImportsplease let me know how it is, I’m looking to pick one up as a daily as a 21 uni student!!!!!
Nice Buddy 😊
Hopefully the owner doesn't gut the interior and slam it then try and call it a drift car.
Why not
@TsAlayna Very lazy way to modify it. Take time and effort to make it work good on the road ways. Or else keep it on the track.
Mine will be a properly built early 2000's D1GP style drift build. However, I am only shooting for the looks and performance while foregoing track time because I want to maintain the style without the inevitable damage that would come from actually drifting it.
im surprised it didn’t sound like the modern vqs. sounds almost like a 4 cylinder lmao
Awesome
W Car
🔥🔥
i wonder if the owner wants to trade headlights, my grey car has white lights and his white car has grey. we should swap
Looks like a Toyota Avalon from the rear
Sounds good nice car
Keep all the stock parts
Here in nz these had the VG30DET
Needs a 3 inch exhaust with Vibrants
Look at all the asbestos coming out of the exhaust.
まさか見れるとは😮
MENGA MINT!!!
Its a VG30DET, not a VQ30.
Its actually a VQ30DET in this generation.
@@OriginImportsI don't think this one is turbo
VG30DE non turbo in this one. The turbo models were VQ30DET, the same as the Cima. Some even come rb25det awd.
@@shanem3012 I'm aware i have a Cima and a Cedric, but mine are both VQ30DET
@@shanem3012 my point was that the VG30 is in the Y32 the Y33 is a VQ series
So clean
