I found myself staring at her picture because I could not believe the phenomenal job she did on this book at such a young age. It is one of thee best pieces of historical fiction I’ve get read in my life and as a college professor and a lifelong bibliophile, I read a lot!! Bravo!!!

I just returned from a trip to Ghana and has bought the book after my tour of the Cape Coast Castle. It’s phenomenal how the book brought everything I learned on that tour to life. Simply incredible writing.,

I’m not sure if anyone else feels this way, but in a sense this book feels like a kinda sequel to “Things Fall Apart.”

An unspeakably beautiful book. Every word feels chosen carefully. Amazing that such a young woman created such a masterpiece so early in her career.

A well done interview, It does interest me to read the book. BUT, why is it that typically background music is used in these interviews? I found it difficult to finish the interview, having to listen to the repetitive wearisome music! Ug.

I understand what u mean. For anyone else who struggled with keeping track of the characters I found referring back to the family tree at the beginning of the book really helped !x
