Thank you Laura for pointing out the Talavera balls at Planters Paradise. And the days they are closed and what time they opened this morning, Wednesday. We retired to Peoria Az. last year after living in San Diego 43 years. We have been in Laguna Beach & San Diego vacationing. But we were heading home this morning. And we got to Pla ters Paradise at 10 sharp. Other fans of yours were there too. 1 nice couple from Orange County. My husband and I found our 3 small talavera balls. And we bought a beautiful talavera hot air balloon and gondola. Thanks for the heads up. You had fans there that wiped out their supply by 10:28 am. I'm a happy fan. Hugs and watching your new place come together is awesome.
Laura, FYI Home Goods has their Summer items on clearance now. Run there! I bought a few Telavera balls - 2 blue balls and an orange ball. I am so so happy I was finally able to own some Telavera balls at a very reasonable price. 😁👏👍
They can be great for quality ceramic large pots for really cheap like around 20 dollars which is how much many 6-8 inch pots are nowadays. I got some nice tall vase shaped ceramic pots from there this year. Got home and saw they had martha stewart tags on them. Must have been her stuff from I assume home depot or macys. TJ Max has the same stuff home goods gets, so worth checking there too for pots but home goods has more stuff and better chance to find stuff.
Major ceramic pots and balls FOMO here from New Zealand.... Not nearly ENOUGH selection like that (loud) down this way... GAH! Excited to see the backyard reno at your new digs :) Pip
Eeekkkk!!! My husband just got me my talavera ball from there!!!! And I just love it in my yard!!! Yes Laura, I agree with the "R's" philosophy, but it is hard sometimes! Good luck tomorrow!
Its a really good thing I’m far away in the Central Valley! Restraint is right. What a fantastic place. Good luck tomorrow can’t wait to see what you do with the new garden.
I’ve had to really use restraint this year as well. I’ve been so focused on propagating all my different sedums, hydrangeas, and other perennials that it feels like I now have too much! Not a bad problem to have. Wishing you the best for your new garden.
Our two aloe tongaensis medusa trees are doing great. They have grown about 6-9 inches in the 9 months since we planted them in the ground (15 gallon pots from Waterwise). They are so beautiful, and our aloe hercules is completely green, rooted, and Growing,🙌 finally!!! I could not have the kind of restraint you have there, if they won't be there next time, they are coming home with me this time !!!
You're so funny Laura.. The blue balls comment 😂😂😂 They are really lovely specimens! Thankyou for sharing with us and your centrepiece baby is magnificent!
uhhhh, restraint.. that's a dirty word, isn't it? lol... once you get your babies moved in, you will be able to see what you need and take us all shopping with you, how fun!!! it's all gonna be fantastic!!! 😍
Aloe ramosissima is indigenous to the region where I live. You should see the big specimens all over the place. Absolutely beautiful. We have almost no rain in a season. Aloe cancer destroyed mine
Is aloe cancer similar to aloe mites? I grow the common Vera along with some cultivars and have never seen a pest but I'm in Minnesota growing in pots Have heard similar stories of aloe mites killing off or being hard to manage, but not the cancer.
They get pretty big over time the biggest one I’ve seen in person is at water wise right at the front I think Laura called it bainesii in past videos but it’s a giant tongaensis they have orange flowers not pink
I know what you mean about walking in and not getting anything. It’s like going to a buffet and one eating 1 plate of food 😂😂wonder if there’s and 1-800 number for people like us 😉 thanks for the videos
There is Succulent Gardens in Monterey. Half Moon Bay Nursery has a succulent room that changes seasonally (sometimes sells sick plants, gotta look carefully) and everywhere else just has bits and bobs. Sadly, nothing up north like Platers Paradise.

I am drooling right now! 🤤 🤩😍 I must move next door to Planter’s Paradise and purchase everything. Why can’t we have all the good things? 🤔
Wish we had a Planter's Paradise in Houston, Tx...☹
Buy it all! hahahaha, you know you won't regret it. ;)
So every time you were ooohing and aaahing over a certain plant I was yelling at you in the video, “Get One!” 😂
They get pretty big over time the biggest one I’ve seen in person is at water wise right at the front I think Laura called it bainesii in past videos but it’s a giant tongaensis they have orange flowers not pink

The eye candy at 9:11
Can you mix blue plants with green? I would tend to say no but I'm no expert. What do you think?
Sure!!
🙋
Buy it no regrets 🤣
Does anyone know of a succulent nursery in bay area similar to Planter Paradise? Or other nurseries Laura frequents?
Roth Bancroft in walnut creek is good to see.

Also, Cactus Jungle in Berkeley
Laura spoilt yourself. Think of it as a house-warming present to yourself.
Digging yucca's to share with friends 🪴🌵🦎
The plant choice in USA is amazing none like that in OZ 🥲well that I Know of.
