This will probably make you love this guy even more: 999 is apparently immune to when day breaks. It literally went on a rescue mission to save a child trapped in a building miles away, protecting them from the sun by carrying them inside itself to safety.
Also if you’re liking these check out TheVolgun, his videos can be long and don’t have animation but the narration is the best I’ve seen in any scp channel.

It makes sense. Although the Broken Day bypassed most anomalies abilities, SCP-682 and SCP-999 survive, as only the strongest survive. And who is stronger than the children of the Scarlet King.
In the SCP universe, the biggest twist imaginable is for an SCP to be entirely wholesome with no dark twist

Don't get it wrong, sure the Shy guy was "broken", but the fight between SCPs 096 and 682 was really, really long and bloody, both tore eachother apart down to the bones at some point.
Yes, but that still goes to show how powerful 682 is. Shy guy got it down to its bones, but was still too weak enough to fully destroy the creature. Which is insane considering who/what 096 is and the title(s) that it has.
Yea and I'm pretty sure 682 doesn't want anything to do with the Shy Guy either. Both of them are scared of eachother.

the shy guy technically won the fight as 682 looked like a corpse and couldn't move, but it just regenerated and the shy guy was the only one afraid of the pain that battle caused. hard to be afraid of pain if you regenerate infinitely. also does 682 even feel pain? I don't think we've ever had a confirmation on that
The hard to destroy reptile is… horribly intelligent, however, ability to talk and willingness are… very different. There is at least two other SCPs whom have gotten along with that particular SCP as well as one anomalous D-Class

Actually, there's a few 001s that aren't anything like that. There's one called the spiral path, which is literally just a circular path, you go one way, it's infinitely uphill, the other, infinitely downhill. It was believed to be the first SCP, and the one that started the foundation in the first place.
There's tons of 001s that "started" the foundation or the first creature.

Honestly i was stuck between that and 2718 as its one of my favorites but i think that 2935 will be a good stepping stone towards 2718.

The gate guardian actually also is one of the 001-proposals. They are not all really defined by being dangerous, but by being something, that shatters the understanding of the world.
And if you want another really wholesome SCP, look for SCP-2295, the teddy bear with a heart of patchwork. It is my personal favorite positive SCP. The Rubber has a good video of him :3
And there also are a few short videos of all 001-proposals out there, if you just want to quickly look what they are.
Another wholesome SCP I've found is SCP-4999.

One of the 001s is literally the SCP wiki itself which is hilarious. The origin of all these horrific and/or dramatic monsters is just a bunch of neckbeards on the internet, and there's nothing the Foundation can do about it.

Every 001 is something big. There is no 1 cannon in scp, but there are collections of things that can go together. 001s tend to be cornerstones of different cannons and offer different angles on the nature of the foundation itself as well as its origins and or its fate
I rather like the gate guardian because all be it dangerous if you fuck with it it's just doing it's job and outside of that it's not dangerous at all.

My canon is that The Architect is 001. It's the coolest concept for why the anomalies exist, why the universe is expanding and it's not even a 001 proposal.

SCP 106 is the one that scares me the most; not on an existential level like some of the world-ending SCPs, but on a personal level.

They just have to constantly stay on guard until it breaches containment, then lure it back in by brutally torturing a D-class to the point that they scream their lungs out in pain. Have you ever listened to those audio clips in SCP Containment Breach? Absolutely haunting stuff.

If you do ever look at The Factory (another 001), you should definitely look for one of the more detailed scp UA-cam channels. Scp Animated is good, but they normally have more sumerized and more censorsored version of what's on the wiki.

The Volgun did a really great video on SCP-2316 The Bodies in the Water (or The Field Trip) one of the most iconic SCPs and the origin to the most repeated inside joke in the community and a good introduction to the concept of Cognito Hazards

15:38 The most important thing to remember about SCP is that there is no canon. Nothing is canon, and everything is canon. It's a group project, and as long as a work follows the creative commons licensing requirements, it is just as valid and canon as all other works

Spoilers for fans of SCP Foundation:
Recently this year, the Crimson King entered an alternate SCP-F universe to invade as usual. But people there knew of the prophecy involving SCP999; but the monster wasn't yet in it's adult form. The king sent his wife-daughters' armies to destroy anyone in opposition (besides that cult of his I forgot the name of) and the SCP-F for "last". Time skip, and a runaway researcher grabs the Tickle Monster to the Clockworks SCP, thinking maybe the setting [Very Fine] will mature the monster enough to destroy the Crimson King, his daughters and his army for good across all creation. Many told him not to, for the obvious super anomalous and bad results almost every prior experiment caused. He didn't listen. Dr. Bright bought him time with his inventions and clones, not yet believing his hope but eager to at least have a chance. It wasn't too long before his medalion was made undone and each clone murdered. When the researcher reached the Clockworks machine he was already mortally wounded by one blind reality warper woman of the invaders. He shoved the monster in and set the setting on [Very Fine], with his dying breath asking for hope and forgiveness, were it go wrong.
The machine matured SCP999 to it's full power, where it grew permanently and exponentially, soon covering the entire planet, the army, the wife-daughters and the very Crimson King itself. Each and everyone died in confusion and confort not of their own -for it was deadly amounts of positive energy from SCP999- except the King, who went down screaming, having yet not destroyed all of creation, who went silent with silent regret. Eventually SCP999 transformed the entire planet to his image. Humanity and the SCP-F is no more, but so is the Crimson King and all it's cohorts. The omniverse and all beyond it are safe, but at the cost of one no one will remember or praise.
(On the next comment, the true conceptual nature of the SCP682... no it's not Satan.)

Try "another murder monsters" I don't remember the number but it great
SCP lores will conflict with eachother. As they are from different authors.
For example, one tale is scp 682 is the son of the Scarlet King.
While another has 682 being alive in the 1800s (mistaken ir the origin for the Tarrasque) or even further into the past.
Add there is a SCP multiverse... its best to take scp lore tying to one another by different authors with a GRIN of salt! :D
