Thanks for the review... picked up some Curry 2.5s the other day. Had my eye on the Soldier but the local price was a bit more than I wanted to spend... Would've been nice to have seen this video BEFORE shopping, but sounds like I dodged a bullet on overpaying for a shoe I would've ended up not liking.

I have both and I feel the cushion in the Soldier X a lot whilst with the Currys the cushion is shit and my knees hurt a lot after 20min of play in practice or 10 in games. I'll only wear my currys when I need grip but overall I'll wear the Soldier X.

Some people like squeaky traction, some don't. The squeak is a reassurance of good traction for some
I like squeeky tractions because it just sounds good, and I think it actually helps making the person with the ball afraid when you close out on him hard and make that sweaky sound. I think it makes him hesitate.
