  • This video breaks down the conga drumming that Cyril Neville did on the Neville Brothers live performance of "Angola Bound" at Tipitinas (link below). This was a request from a viewer that I really appreciated. I spent a few months taking a close look at Cyril Neville's playing to try to feel a different approach to conga drumming. And, although it's not all that different from many of the techniques that I've shared videos about, it was especially helpful for my development as a musician to jam to these patterns and change up my hands a bit with someone else's ideas.
