Спасибо Вам. А я так думаю,что Этторе подходил к работе исполнительства, как к труду,который нужно отлично сделать, наилучше.Работа,которая выполнена замечательно,затрачены душевные силы.И его вклад таков,что мы,слушатели через 60 лет чувствуем трепет и волнение его сердца
Абсолютно точно и правильно (с точки зрения психологии) определения работы этого шедевра и нетоько этого.... Но практически всего « материала» которого ему- Et. Bastianini пришлось петь живьём или записывать в любом виде . Этот труд и дальнейшая перевоплощение дано только ему!!!! P. S. Такое состояние души дано и Callas. Эти два ЧЕЛОВЕЧИЩА -ГИГАНТЫ, очень чем-то похоже своей трагедии в личной неустроенно жизни , по сути очень одиноки не смотря на внешнию « оболочку счастья , благополучия , богатства, улыбок и т. д.» но - это только оболочка, а внутри- это то о чем мы с вами и говорим!!!!😊🎶🎶🎶👏👏👏💕

Thanks for posting this. IMHO, he is one of the finest post WWII baritone, he came the closest to the passion and intensity of Ruffo. He and Corelli did astounding work together. Thanks again...

This was recorded the year I was born. Another beautiful recording by my favourite baritone. These deep registers are much more pleasant to my ears, especially Ettore Bastianini's rich and deep timbre. Was there ever a better baritone? Only Gino Bechi comes close.

Apollo Granforte is a good cross between Ruffo and Basti. All three are among the finest ever. But I know what you mean about Ettore B. Passion overflowing on every sonorous note. Sublime.

I've loved this song since I was a young child. My father had an old 78 RPM recording of the dramatic baritone Gino Bechi singing this wonderful piece. I played it until I accidentally broke it ,to my dad's dismay. This recording by the incomparable Bastianini brings back many memories from my childhood. Color unico y hasta ahora irrepetible. I admired Warren, Merrill, MacNeal, Rufo and so many others but in the color of the voice and what that color transmits, Bastianini is the best (of course, keeping in mind that in art, nobody is really the best). Only London approaches his quality.

This is what a baritone should sound like, especially a lead baritone. He has a deep rich dark sonorous timbre and sound, almost bass like and he did begin his career as a bass. Another baritone with the sonorous deep rich sound was George London.
