You have enumerated the 'features' of the FX6 that steared me to FX30. The only thing I like about the FX6 is the electronic ND. Wish they would release that as an accessory add-on -- Cheers, good show, definitely worth watching if you are considering an FX6
Thank you. I'm glad I could help. I hope electronic ND's are on their more affordable cameras in the future. Idk how Sony will be able to compete with all the great cameras being released by other companies.
Np. It all depends on what you’re shooting but overall, no. The FX3 is roughly the same quality in a lighter, more convenient body. If you need sdi and timecode for that kind of work flow then go with the FX6.
Only thing that I don’t agree with is the VF port converting to HDMI or SDI. Correct me if I’m wrong, HDMI and SDI will only send the image to a monitor not the touch screen functionalities. Just food for thought.
Yes. You're absolutely correct. I was referring to Sony coming up with a solution or allowing another manufacturer to create a device that would allow that functionality through the VF port. For instance, If smallHD or Atomos had access to the port licensing, they could create monitors or cables to be able to use that functionality on their own monitors. However, if they just allowed a SDI or HDMI conversion, I wouldn't mind sacrificing the touch capabilities. At least I would still have the option for touch capabilities with the original monitor.
Good vid. Dislike the handle, always comes loose, i took the side handle off day one - why make a "small" camera much wider. Hate the fact need top handle for audio. Hate the fact no 3.5mm. Screen always comes loose. The whole thing is always a rickety mess. Menus - absolutely appalling. WB - awful, please use the same system as the alpha line! Same with codec options. I shouldn't be reaching for my £4k camera over my £6k camera, but i so often do.
This is complicated because of a few things. First consider your use case. If you will be shooting indoors/low light, you will want something that has a low wide aperture (The lower the F-stop number, the wider the aperture. ex: F2.8 or F1.4. Wide apertures let more light into your camera and create a beautiful background blur. However, they are more expensive the wider you go. Then you have to consider, do you want a lens that can zoom? If you want a lens that zooms and has a wide aperture, thats even more money. So 1st decide what your needs are. The kit lens that actually comes with the ZVE10 is really good, as long as you light yourself well. Me personally, I like using prime lenses (lens that don't zoom). But you have to constantly change then lenses to get different looks. Here's a list of the lenses I use the most. Sony 50mm F1.2, Sony 35mm F1.4, Sony 16-35mm F4, Sony 24-105mm F4.
Bro! I love the Handle.. Ive customized it to work for me now I cant see myself without it.
Please share how you've customized it. I love it too but I just wish it didn't have that annoying shake.
Spot on with your comment on a special accessory for audio
I might have to make one myself. You down? lol
The ND is so dope on my blackmagic I cant imagine the fx3 without them.
I really hope Sony has something cool in the works. Right now, I believe the FX6 is only worth it if you are doing higher end docs and interviews.
100% agree!
Thank you. If you got any topics you want me to cover, let me know

Thanks for sharing, would you recommend this over the fx3?

Your comment is sooo on point. Everyday I'm considering starting my own accessories company to fix some of this sh***t lol
Great information.Thanks for sharing 😊
My pleasure. Thanks for watching.
Having a loose handle even when you tighten it would drive me bonkers as well
And it’s nothing we can do about it. Hopefully Sony fixes this.
100% !!! Same BS I have found as well. IBIS? Why not?
A camera with ibis and built in NDs would be dope.
What lense do you recommend for the Sonyzve10 ?

@@WinstonMcfarlane thanks Winston I will research them
You’re welcome. Maybe I should do a lens video.
@@WinstonMcfarlane I think that will be good because you are very knowledgeable about camera equipment
