Alc is a master at creating these unique soundscapes for every artist he works with... Compare Freddie's album to Boldys and the production is completely different and fits both perfectly
True man. His sound has progressed from day one, from project to project, which is something I find deep admiration in an artist. The production on Bo Jackson and the production on The Price of Tea in China are also two completely different sounding works and yet, as you'd mentioned, Al still creates the most befitting sound for whoever he works with. This helps the emcee to bring forth their own truest form of self expression as it creates an environmental bubble of comfort for them to work in and with. His production essentially brings out the best in those he works with. It's as though he can sense their aura and by doing so he creates the perfect setting for them. Alchemy is an interesting thing!
@@iamupinacloud love this comment, especially about how he creates a space where every artist can exist comfortably... Madlib might be my favourite producer because of style and experimentation. But Alchemist accommodates his artists so well that, just as a producer objectively I would consider Uncle Al to be better than Madlib
Alchemist really might be the greatest to ever do it, go ahead and fight me… Beat is downright ruthlessness And I like the little reference from The Wire
@@Gonnie6969 I said what I said because I feel like all 3 are at the top in terms of quality, but Alc's been putting out WAAAAYYYYYY more work the past decade or so and all of it has been fire af
He ended Bo Jackson with Drug Zone and I'm like "that can't be topped", but then Boldy tops it with Francois smh! I've been playing this all yesterday and today. Boldy ALC what a team!
Go all the way back to Mob Deep Get at Me, to the Rotten Apple projects and the collabs Alch done with P. You can hear the lineage just in the punch of Boldys voice & in the baseline and the cinematic audio snippets, that go all the way back to the 2000s mob deep era even through into Carlton Heist he done with Currency a few years back . His sounds are pure legacy. Alchemist has such a distinctive sound it’s beautiful.
You an idol to me bro ily. All I been striving to do, since I heard Action's Blue Chips and dug deep into y'alls operation, is make tasty beats like you king. I pray I make it so I can tell the world about you

It's true.
Agreed. We need a Nas x Alchemist collab album ASAP. Imagine Nas rapping over some instrumentals like this. Man.....
