That clip with glavenus capture reminds me of a time in 4U, we were hunting a Rajang, already 2 carts down, my friend was stunned and the ape was clearly about to kamehameha his ass. I took a swing and just as Rajang hit him, I actually killed Rajang and we got quest cleared. Except my friend was sent to base camp with kitty cart lol

Diablos is Herbivore for sure, they mostly consume cactus, though cactus ain't quite as nutritious as other food source so they need a lot of it. To survive, Diablos ended up being hyper-aggressive about protecting their territories or more accurately, their food. Any invaders would be ruthlessly attacked until they get away or dies. In other words, Diablos attacks anything posting threat to their survival, except when it's an elder dragon, 'cuz their instinct tells them there's no way they can confront a "natural disaster" that has it's own will and thinkings. And the fact that elder dragons don't even consider normal monsters a threat to be dealt with.

Glad Im not the only person who experienced the behemoth fight, with ecliptic meteor at the end. Somebody decided to hit it instead of hiding behind a comet and they got the kill, but the meteor also killed them so it was a failed mission, but the hunter notes begs to differ, still got eem.
0:25 they would’ve successfully just gotten the capture in time had they clutch clawed right after the mount instead of landing on the ground and dealing with the recovery animation. Then they could’ve just hopped off

Why are people doing wake ups like that now? 1:30 & 5:15 (obvs not them failing, I’m meaning the knocking into the barrels) you’re literally missing out on all the extra damage a wake up does
Bandi Owl that’s true and all but surely it would be better to do a good wake up hit to get heaps of damage and then grapple afterwards and throw into barrels/wall to get double or more damage?
I still don't understand the "new" wakeup method of clutch clawing and running the monster into bombs+wall as failed at 1:15. Does the clutch claw not count as the wakeup strike? I never have trouble flinch shooting the monster into the wall AFTER waking up with bombs. As long as you clutch claw quickly enough, you can get off the flinch shot before the monster roars and officially becomes enraged.
I absolutely hate what they did with the temporal mantle. instead of it being time-based it's now the amount of attacks it dodges WHILE BEING time-based and it irritates the hell out of me.
