As a Singaporean, I would like to apologise to football fans. Peter Lim (for Valencia) and BN Group (for Newcastle) are not representative of the passion of football fans in Singapore
Nik Turk BN (co-founded by Singaporean entrepreneurs) offered 280 million for Newcastle. And there are many issues with this 1) Mike Ashley had previously agreed to a 300 million from the Saudi- so there is no point offering a lower amount 2) BN doctored many of their documents and publicity photo 3) Nobody has heard about BN prior to this saga
There are sooooo many clubs that should be bigger and better than they are. When you consider Newcastle got higher average attendances in the second division than Juve does in Serie A (even when they had the old delle Alpi with 69,000 capacity) it shows they should have a lot more silverware than they do. But they are far from the only ones, St Etienne, Valencia, Sevilla, Deportivo la Coruna, Napoli, Lazio, Frankfurt, Hertha Berlin, Strasbourg, Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa, Torino, Hamburg there are loads of truly massive clubs that don't compete at the top of the leagues like they could do and 99.9% of it is bad management.
@@bradmarchand8646 it is Europe's B competition though, nowhere near Champions League level. They are one which is perhaps a tad unfair, but my point is they should be challenging Barca and Real for the title they were 17 points off last season... and these are not the best Real and Barca teams we have seen.
To all Valencia fans as a Singaporean. I'm sorry you guys are being run by a businessman with little to no clue on how much football means to you guys. As the Irish Guy once said, football is the bedrock of many communities and for a club as storied as Valencia, it is such a shame that he is slowly running your club to the ground. Once again, I am sorry and I hope this will somehow get better for your sake.
Thank you so much for doing this video. I am seeing all this turmoil from Valencia and I havent a client what's happening. That issue has been addressed now. Have a good one!
I like Valencia. As a fellow Singaporean, I am embarrassed by the handling of the club by Peter Lim. He may be the richest person in Singapore and very apt at business, but has no clue on running a football club. I missed the days when Valencia were challenging for the title.
Another stellar video. Lim didn't invent the problems at Valencia but he's effectively ruined them as a power in Spanish football. And his sister? What a piece of gilded trash.
My favourite part was when Valencia fans started attacking Kim Lim on social media and she responded by posting pictures of her spending her fathers money and calling Valencia fans poor.
Great video once again Alfie. I had noticed Valencia's weird dives and rises in the last few years and this explains why. The only complaint I can make is probably one you've seen many times while you run this channel and that is that in Spanish, the letter "c" is pronounced as "th" in some words.
This makes me very sad. The only European football match I've ever seen was Valencia vs Sevilla at the Mestalla back in 2017, so Valencia will always have a special place in my heart. I really hope they can turn their fortunes around...
Do a 7 players you Think Hull city should sign. And not those redicoulous ones that would never happen, but some you Think would be possible and could improve the squad atm or would be a good transfer long term. And also would be sensible
you should make a video about the dodge ownership of wigan looking deeper into the points reductions that they suffered. @fng made a great video about it

Absolutely LOVE these in-depth looks at the goings-on behind the scenes at these football clubs. Keep up the fantastic analysis and work, never be afraid to put out info that outs bad actors.
The situation at valencia is even worser than arsenal as Stan doesn't get involved in choosing or sacking managers or clubs affairs. He just let's club run with its own money doesn't invest neither takes money out of club and doesn't select good footballing people on board

We've been soooooo unlucky with the club management lately but I hope this changes in the following years. Going to Mestalla has been a part of my life since i was a child and it makes me so sad watching how my club gets destroyed by one rutheless business man.

BN (co-founded by Singaporean entrepreneurs) offered 280 million for Newcastle.
And there are many issues with this
1) Mike Ashley had previously agreed to a 300 million from the Saudi- so there is no point offering a lower amount
2) BN doctored many of their documents and publicity photo
3) Nobody has heard about BN prior to this saga
This peter lim is bad image of Singapore in Spain
Yeah I feel you on that. Hertha Berlin and Frankfurt should be a lot better and Forest as well.
I mean Sevilla just won the Europa League for like the 6th time.
It's not your fault man! Respect. Spread the word in Singapore for us! Amunt
Just came across your channel, excellent content and delivery man.
You have been doing extra interesting videos lately mate good job.
Do what’s on earth going with West Ham vid
true ..they are becoming strong relegation candidates at the moment
Alejandro mate always were tbf
They were always shit wym
West ham has always been shit
They couldn't settle at their new stadium
Day 2: Ranking former British colonies by the rank of their national teams (or leagues)
Thank you so much for doing this video. I am seeing all this turmoil from Valencia and I havent a client what's happening. That issue has been addressed now. Have a good one!
Excellent vid as always :)
Who else cringed at that comment from the owners daughter
That's the definition of "entitlement".
Great video! Love these
Watching from USA great content
Go to sleep
Watching from Indonesia 🇮🇩!
My favourite part was when Valencia fans started attacking Kim Lim on social media and she responded by posting pictures of her spending her fathers money and calling Valencia fans poor.
someone named "Kim Lim" has zero right to make fun of anybody.
These are your best videos
The back to back UCL runner up in 2000 and 2001 was the golden age of Valencia,it's sad that they are a mediocre team nowadays.
Very well structured video, a great watch/listen.
Good work Alfie
Great video once again Alfie. I had noticed Valencia's weird dives and rises in the last few years and this explains why. The only complaint I can make is probably one you've seen many times while you run this channel and that is that in Spanish, the letter "c" is pronounced as "th" in some words.
Thank you, I asked for this video once. People dont realise how big Valencia used to be.
It’s purely financial mismanagement
Content has been amazing of late mate, I’m loving these kind of videos
This makes me very sad. The only European football match I've ever seen was Valencia vs Sevilla at the Mestalla back in 2017, so Valencia will always have a special place in my heart. I really hope they can turn their fortunes around...
Do a 7 players you Think Hull city should sign. And not those redicoulous ones that would never happen, but some you Think would be possible and could improve the squad atm or would be a good transfer long term. And also would be sensible
More videos like this please. Very interesting and eye-opening
I love these documentary type videos they are so good .
same
just to point it out, "Sevilla" is pronounced like se-vee-jah.
In arabic its pronounced shpeele
Edit: mistype
@Bernardo Slongo average Juan😂
You can tell it's a good video when this is the first I've heard of this clubs mismanagement.
you should make a video about the dodge ownership of wigan looking deeper into the points reductions that they suffered. @fng made a great video about it
Real talk. There has to be a way to get rid of Lim. Hmmm like can they fundraise and buy out the club from him?
Great video, as someone who's been living in Valencia for over a decade, I'd say this is a very comprehensive summary of the situation.
I'm from Singapore and I find this very appalling.
Anyone else think that at 1:45 Parejo looks like Haywire from prison break?
Underrated comment
These are very good, Alfie. Honestly with these videos of when you explain ongoing issues at clubs, i believe you can go longer. Because these matters are serious and people do listen to you, even if we don't support said clubs. It just gives us more knowledge too!
Great stuff as always, don't overwork yourself too hard!
as someone from the same nation as peter lim i feel he has poorly mismanaged the club
He is just stupid. He could have grown the value of the club and his own wealth.
It is very short sighted
Thank you ur covering this coz it really not getting attention
Thanks for doing this
Absolutely LOVE these in-depth looks at the goings-on behind the scenes at these football clubs. Keep up the fantastic analysis and work, never be afraid to put out info that outs bad actors.
Amazing video, glad that someone made a video to bring attention to this. Small things like these can hopefully help turn things around at my club :(
I think you should do something like this at West Ham, it’s really interesting over there and it would make a good video
I’m working on it, video coming soon ✌️
Incredibly informative video on a topic I don’t think many of us knew the true details behind the real story.
This video explains a lot. I was wondering why they sold their best players
Really well put together volg details and news with off the wall wit thumbs up 👍
The situation at valencia is even worser than arsenal as Stan doesn't get involved in choosing or sacking managers or clubs affairs.
He just let's club run with its own money doesn't invest neither takes money out of club and doesn't select good footballing people on board
Not only the best written and most intelligent football channel on UA-cam: the most intelligent and best written channel on ANY subject on UA-cam. Extraordinary.
This is gonna carry on until there's literally only 10 teams left in the world that were filthy rich enough to stay in business.
0:57 - 1:05 The Irish guy in a nutshell
Anywhere outside England = *back arse of*
Just ask him anything outside of England, he’ll just speak out of his ass
Even as a Barca fan and even though our club is in ruins, I’m actually really sad for Valencia and their fans, they’re such a great historic club. It’s terrible what peter Lim has done to the club.
I always considers la liga top 4 teams are barca, real Madrid, aletico Madrid and Valencia in that order
Pls make a video about the Egyptian golden generation which won 3 afcon's in a row (2006-2010).
"golden generation" still couldn't qualify to the world cup
@@twiste7553 that's another interesting part of the vid imo
Never knew the club were in such desperate trouble until watching this video. Good job Alfie in covering this.
Valencia is such an underrated club, it's been one of the biggest teams in europe for the last century and it doesnt get the media coverage it deserves. We've been soooooo unlucky with the club management lately but I hope this changes in the following years.
Going to Mestalla has been a part of my life since i was a child and it makes me so sad watching how my club gets destroyed by one rutheless business man.
great video sevens, do a one on doping in football ie liverpool caffiene and players bulking up in munich
Do a West Ham one
Omg 🤦🏽♂️ his daughter messed up
Excellent video!
What on Earth is going on at Schalke?
8-0
Great video and great comparison with arsenal at the end. Lol
Great video
Their explayers are now winning Europa League and La Liga.
Sad state of football. The soul of clubs is rapidly leaving. These owners are only looking at numbers it’s not about fans anymore
the soul of the club put them in debt, if you didn't watch the video
This is also well represented in Football Manager, when after coming 2nd and winning 2 trophies in my debut year, I was given a budget of £25M and no spare wage budget, still run by Lim
Brilliant video, but think making the equivalency of Javi Gracia being the Valencia version of Big Nige Pearson is a *tad* harsh
The backstories behind UEFA’s 6 prohibited international fixtures. (Serbia v Kosovo, Spain v Gibraltar, for example)
What are the others?
Nik Turk :
Kosovo v Bosnia,
Kosovo v Russia
Russia v Ukraine
and Armenia v Azerbaijan.
I’m sure Russia v Georgia used to be one as well until 2014.
@@______________________7577 thanks. I guessed the Armenia v Azerbaijan one. Totally forgot about Russia v Ukraine
