That's why they're SO FUNNY! My girlfriend and I just hosted our first July 4th BBQ at our new house and she nor I would DARE take away a beverage from one of our friends before they've finished it! 😂

These are the funniest commercials ever.
"Anyone brings up lawn care, I will handle it". DYING! I actually switched to Progressive in part due to Dr Rick! The ads are hilarious! Rates ended up being better! No ad has EVER inspired me to research the product. Matter of fact, its just the opposite! I would go out of my way to NOT endorse the product due to my hatred for commercials! But when it comes to Dr Rick, all bets are off!

Progressive added somebody to my insurance that youst to live in my house. "SIR it's your responsibility to contact that violent and abusive person and have them fill this form with their information and signature to have them removed...until then we're charging you $189 per month."

While frequently funny, these ads are getting a little bit mean. Who cares what that guy's apron says.
It's that he's wearing one as much as the saying, which is true. Grills really do just want to have fun.
Yeah I noticed that too. I get the deadpan humor, but the concept of trying to rid yourself of parental influence is not that appealing to me. One or two videos of it ok, whatever but parents are fun and quirky and wouldn’t want to change that and become robotic non emotional things.

Their insured hit me, now I have to jump thru hoops and still waiting to get my vehicle fixed. Avoid these scam artist at all cost.
It's ok...but It shouldn't cut down becoming our parents..not all parents are dumb and we are supposed to respect and obey our parents. For some reason the ad just goes against some of my thoughts

Over a 45 year period I probably wrote thousands of local radio spots. Given the huge amount of spots that Progressive airs across all various platforms some are going to be award winners and some are going to be "meh". Based on comments here I see most people like Dr. Rick. Personally I cannot stand him and this whole spot line. I just cringe every single time i see him come on.
Progressive is trash. Had a broken window progressive will forward you to satellite and they on replace the glass, so I had to get the window tinted and clean up the broken glass and drive around with a broken window until my appointment which was 4 days out. I had the same issue before with Geico, and they sent me to a body shop, gave me a rental, and took care of the custom tint.
Struggling with who at the company thought it was a good idea to insult literally ALL of their customers for something only slightly funny.

I have a warped sense of humor. I find almost everything funny. Except these ads.
These commercials trigger me big time. I find them highly offensive.
I have to keep in mind the premise is, that these people sought "Dr. Rick's" counsel.
This line of ads is condescending.
And I have to say, as a grown adult, if someone told me to "take it off (the apron) or I will take it off", he would be declaring war, and find that apron shoved somewhere on his person, extremely uncomfortable.
Further more, if you think for one minute your ads make me want to rush right out and purchase your insurance, you are sadly mistaken.

Dr Rick is not a good person. Telling people their parents are wrong. Progressive insurance is not good either. Not anything to do with insurance.
I think he is a very rude man. I believe he should be removed from the commercials on progressive What he says to the people is very rude and I believe he should be removed I can’t believe you people are letting him be this rude.
It's an actor playing a character and using a script written by someone else.
It's just a commercial if you take it that seriously you need therapy lol.
