- On today’s driving lesson I am with Georgia and we are working on her parallel park.
Parallel parking on the driving test can feel like lots of pressure which can cause you to have driving test nerves. So it is vitally important to practice parallel parking on different types of roads and on different times of the day to become confident at parallel parking(reverse parking).

A good video generally James and Georgia. Good luck with your next test whenever it is Georgia. My only critique would be on this video and something to consider for future would be to have a rear camera to see outside the rear of the car and not just the front.

Well done Georgia. I've been driving since 2019 and absolutely avoid this maneuver as I have no depth awareness when I'm reversing in.
Even an experienced driver you won't get it perfect every time. The key think is observation observation observation. Then being able tweek any correction. As nice as it is to get in all pretty and quickly. It really doesn't matter if observation is lacking. When you get more confident and start going for tight spaces it ain't possible to fully swing the front of the car in and will require a bit forward and reverse to shimie the front of the car in. Don't get hung up on speed as it really doesn't matter
Good advice
Is it true that with all of the parking manoeuvres, the student is allowed to make corrections requiring changing the direction of travel (say going from reverse to forward or forward to reverse)? For example when reverse bay parking, moving the car forward in order to better centre it? Or when forward bay parking, putting the car in reverse, again to better centre the car?
Yes with all the manoeuvres you are allowed to change directions to correct the path of your car.
3:07 can you fail if you park very badly
Importantly do correct and plenty of observations including blind spot checks?
