Enjoyed this video chaps. One of my favourite swims from back in 1998. I re-joined the club last year after watching this video! 430 mile round trip for me but I do love the place :)
Good video... Nice to see Zander are still in here - I used to fish nearly Roswell 20 years ago, recognise that swim anywhere! We caught them to 2oz under 10lb, good to see a decent stamp of fish still...
2 years late but what a lovely session 👍 had a go myself last year on a canal. A fish I’ve wanted to catch fir a long time. I didn’t manage to get over 4lb but was still in awe of the fish.
Fascinating creatures, I missed having a go for them. Hopefully the country will get back to some sort of normality, and will be having a go for them this autumn/winter
Really interesting to see you using a pop up leger stem. I experimented with one myself, fishing the Severn in Worcester and in the end, I concluded the pop up stem was spooking fish as I missed run after run. Tried it without a pop up stem...and still missed run after run 😂. Nice vid with proper content 👍. Subscribed
Fishwish thanks for the feedback, we did tinker with the rigs quite a lot, I believe towards the end of that year, I personally switched over to a run ring as I was striking thin air on some takes, also tinkered with various different hook patterns. Fascinating fish zander 👍🏼👍🏼
Nice film, I've never had Zander, , but my pike angling time is limited, I have Parkinson's and unless my mates with my I don't fish for em, keep the films coming
