11:10 at this timeframe of your great video, this dark pigeons is really smart❤ And I like your loft design, take advantage of the space 🥰 Greeting from Bradeley @ Taipei, Taiwan
Mt grandad cleaned out once a year , before he paired up. My dad who also flew wouldn't let me go in coz it was minging. It was 2 ft deep with piles of shit . U couldn't touch my grandad over the channel and he had countless champions. I heard many a tale about people who came to buy birds and walked out disgusted 😄 But people who got them did well with them. He flew excellent. He used to say , good birds, happy and healthy and they'll race to a cardboard box on a wall. I once heard a tale that he'd topped the section from 600 mile , I think he wS 2nd combine. Anyway a bloke came to view the bird and grandad said if u can pick her out u can have her. He didn't and grandad then took him to his chicken shed , ( which was worse than the pigeon loft) and there she was in a hen nest box sitting youngster's. Grandad flew open hole , she moved house , so he left her . The point is , we clean out but the birds aren't bothered. Good enough , healthy enough 👍👍
Your doing great sand it what you need it looks good I been using it 25 years you can keep an eye on there dropping keep things easy the birds look well do things your way top s is great stuff I would use it through the winter Jon it will keep them well I think the birds pick some thing up in the baskets easily done in the northeast there lost Lott of youngers through young bird sickness anyway red looks great take care to your family all the best
Loving it well done and to help dry out some sand you could separate it up in to small buckets and on dry hot days place in the sun and on wet days in a dry shed corner might help
Alright PAL I no this won't HELP at this minute, but when ur back racing, give your pigeon your own water b4 they go on there next race, seen a top flyer in HOLLAND doing it, just sticking along plastic tube stuck to a syringe and just pump the water down the PIGEON's neck, stops them from going near them drinker's, best of LUCK, 🇮🇪 DUBLIN🇮🇪,

I think the sand will be alright but may need to get kiln dried or play sand I think as this sharp sand is not drying out quickly at all
Loving it well done and to help dry out some sand you could separate it up in to small buckets and on dry hot days place in the sun and on wet days in a dry shed corner might help
Good idea
Bahh.... Xosss uploYR

Versele-Laga Colombine Ideal-Bloc really help dry up the droppings
Thanks, that's a good tip. I'll give it a try
good fertilizer
Yes, thanks
You should use straw it works much easier and it saves time cleaning the loft and the birds stay healthier
Thanks for the tip!
Sou criador do Brasil 🇧🇷🕊️😎✌️
How frequently do you clean the loft I do it every day still can't keep it clean
I need to do it more often and try to keep on top of it
You can buy ciln dried sand at builders merchant or kids play sand
'll have a look, I think play sand is easier to get that kiln dried at the minute with the supply issues!
Do u notice the pigeons only eat the red stone out the grit mix ??
Mine tend to eat most of it but the red grit is a favourite for sure!
What size is your perchers
About 12 inches square
👍👑
Take them off the maize and just feed beans and barley you will see a massive difference in there droppings
Interesting thought, I'm willing to try anything like this
Toughest job😪
For sure!
Very much
You cant put that back down if u have sick birds !!
Good point! It's coming out slowly but surely
sorry you gave up with the birds
I still have them Neville but other things took priority, might start some videos again one day but don't think I'll be racing
You re feeding the pigeon wrong. You need light food on the Young birds. I recommend you to use Gerry from Versele Laga.
They are mainly on a light food but I am just giving them various options now to try and tighten them up, thank you for your advice
