- The Dzire is Maruti Suzuki's compact sedan -- and it's better than you might think. I've always liked the Dzire, and today I'm reviewing the VXi version with the 1.2-litre petrol engine to explain why I like it so much and so will you.

Been using this for two year, but a great overall package. Negatives are there in every car, but the positives are much more.

It's Basically a swift with a bigger boot...but now it's selling more than swift.. perfect family car . build quality is a little concern but decent as for its price.(6-8 lacs)

Owner honest review 3rd generation 2017 vxi dezire - * 17kmpl to 19 mileage
* light clutch & steering
* steering feels light at lower speed but becomes heavier after 80kmhr.... but after 120 kmhr lacks confidence
* music system - bass is good but voice output is average
* NVH LEVEL is good but u will hear some tyre noise when driving it on higher speed &engine noise when u rev it hard..
* rear seat comfort is good as in comparison to front seats
* as vxi variant comes with 14" wheels & zxi with 15" braking is somehow not that good as in 15" tyres...
* sheet metal built quality is not that good ....u must drive it carefully.....
* due to bage interior colour it is hard to maintain.....gets dirty quickly.......
* I hope following suggestions will help buyer's to take decisions on it...🙋♂️🙋♂️😎😎🚘🚘🚘🚘🚘
The new dzire is way better than the old dzire . very comfortable , nice suspension I guess , sat only once. But the exterior built quality. Wonder when maruti will improve its built quality.
Friend can you tell me among desire and amaze which has more spacious rear seats to accommodate 3 adults comfortably.
The 2 side walls from corners of the seat affects on space .

I live in Delhi...mine is giving 20-22 KMPL with AC, a Petrol engine VXI...it all depends how you drive...!! I do rev engine but it never went down from 20 KMPL.

I got a dzire (vxi) in 2013 and in 2018 i got a Innova crysta z automatic and in 2019 i exchanged my 2013 dzire with the new dzire(vxi). Swift dzire has a very comfortable ride quality that's why i bought it again and also bcoz i was getting a very good exchange value. Without an iota of doubt it is the best car in the segment.
How much the exchange value?
Using AGS model since 2018..super.. comfortable.. spacious.. economical..easy to maintain.. ideal for me like above 6 ft frames 💪💪😎😎👍👍🙏🙏
yes.... its no. 1 choice for everyone. I m using Dzire Vxi AMT from last 2yrs. its a very comfortble family sedan car. always go for Dzire.

The main reason is space and smoother running and short turning radius useful in the city. Only need more qualities like ventilated seats, cruise control. Corner stability program etc high quality features. Need traction control and hill hold assist.I have Zdi plus amt . Give in it cvt gear box. Good economy fuel efficiency and effectiveness of maintaining sedan.
Want comparison video of dzire and amaze...as well as fuel efficiency test review of both these cars....
Go for dzire, its effortless to drive under 100kmph. Ull enjoy the thrill. Amaze feels bit heavier unnecessarily. Stay safe, drive slow should be the motto. Nd about the safety of maruti chasis it is not as bad as opinion given by most you tubers

Also I am least concerned about resale value. Maruti owners jo khush rahte hain wo aise log hain jo aur kisi company ki vehicle kabhi drive tak nahi kiye hain.

I liked the previous models of amaze...but 2018 isn't that good...power and weight reduced... front and rear bumper shape is too boxy...and trust me in performance doesn't come close to ford aspire...

But if u go for all round performance than Amaze is the best car...Amaze has a much bigger boot than Aspire and dzire...apart Amaze got 4 star Safety rating at global NCAP where as Aspire got 3 stars and Dzire/Swift only 2 Stars...so amaze has the best built quality as per global ratings...The legroom of Amaze is bigger than its competitors...yes Handing and driving performance wise Aspire is the best car in its segment...but Dzire is an extrely cheap quality car but it sells in highest numbers...Baleno is a much better car than Dzire...!!!

Sir Nexon petrol vs Dzire petrol, which one is better? I understand both are different segments, but pricing is close, and many Indian buyers look for value for money rather a particular shape or design. Please help us understand in terms of driving, comfort etc. Both engines are same size producing 85-90 bhp naturally (not considering the turbo in Nexon). And how better Nexon becomes when turbo is taken into consideration?

Let me add some points which Maruti Suzuki requested ashish sir not to mention in this review... beside most selling and best engine its the most unsafe car in its segment and probably poorest quality of metal is used to build this car and not to forget its heartect platform, well its a unstable platform. Right ashish sir..?

Its not rural area friendly due to very low ground clearance. Most difficult when fully loaded. Better if ground clearance raised to 180mm
Not everyone here is enthusiast ...some people want to jst travel from point a to b...so it's a good idea to select what fits in your budget...whether it's maruti, tata ,Hyundai etc..if u abuse any vehicle nd go beyond safe speed then there is already a place booked for you in hell .....chahe fr koi b car ho

Have to ride in low speeds below 80.Engine has also low power 82 bhp intended for low speed journeys.Less overtaking.
Virang Jethva build quality se zyada zaroori traffic rules ki hai phalai traffic rules follow karo.

Drive safely,dont be dependent on air bags,build quality . Old cars ( 5 years back ) dont come with airbags,ABS ,these things make us dependence. Just drive safely

Take amaze diesel, it's a bit noisy but pros is much more than cons
Amaze has way better build quality and interior quality while dzire is an unsafe tin can which failed crash test and interior plastic quality is also below average
Also, honda after sales is very good, no cheating or anything, you can trust them with your car
Amaze achieved 4 stars in crash test, it's a safe car, you can trust it

Indians, please understand that build quality does not mean good sheet metal alone; it is in fact good strong ABC pillars and crumple zones. If Maruti could offer one more round of metal and the VW and Ford fanboys will shut up. VW and Ford engines especially petrols are under-powered tractors. Yes the old VW 1.2 petrol is very stable on highways at speeds above 120-160 but that stability and speed is useless in India since avg speed here is less than 40 kmph on average especially in big cities. Sprinting from 0-100, Maruti Swift/Baleno petrol 1.2 can offer stiff competition to much bigger cars such as Honda City IVTEC or the Verna.

vedant potdar absolutely some can’t even get the spelling of build quality right but will not think twice to call Marutis tin ka dabbas. Yes safety is any day more important than mileage but we here in India pay 42% tax for every liter of petrol. If we can afford a liter for the actual 45-50 rupees per liter, then Maruti too would build cars that have better sheet metal than VW or Škoda.
Meri dzire 2019 vdi hai, main jyada highway pe hi chalta hun meter average 32-34km/l tak show karta hai kya ye sahi hai speel limit 65 -80 rakhta hun please answer
