TGG14 Gerry Carthy workshop

A quick chat about different tune types in Irish Music e.g. Jigs, reels, hornpipes, slow airs. A scale exercise In D and G - which Illustrate the underlying patterns of the tunes especially as they relate to rhythm in Irish music. I will teach a Kerry polka - maybe two if there's time. We will explore using chords in slow airs followed by question time.
