Loving this tree. I usually do a Caribbean themed tree too. I also incorporate some treasured ornaments from our cruise ship adventures to the beautiful islands. It just makes you feel happy. This is absolutely gorgeous.

Hi David! I am a new subscriber to your channel and have watched several of your tree decorating videos and want to tell you that I think you do beautiful work! In the last couple years we have added 3 additional trees, bringing our total for this holiday to 4 Christmas trees. Is there a rule or method to apply when decorating 4 trees (all separate in the main living area)? My main tree is traditional reds, whites and greens, silver and golds in my living room. My other trees will be (2) rose golds, pinks and gold tree in my dining room, which can be viewed from the living room. (3) a blues and silver tree and (4) a greens and gold tree, both in separate locations in my family room, which can be viewed from the dining room. ( I hope that’s not too confusing 😂). Should there be a cohesive theme that runs throughout? Or is it ok to decorate them completely independent of one another? Any tips or advice that you can give, is greatly appreciated! Thanks again for sharing your beautiful talents with us! 😊 I am looking forward to many more. God bless!
Our motto is to do what makes you happy in your home. Some people like to have everything that matches, but it doesn't have to match, and it depends on how close the trees are to one another. For example, we typically have a tree in our living room that matches our home decor. But we have another tree in our sunroom full of our kids homemade and collectible ornaments. Sometimes, we put a small themed tree in our kitchen that matches our kitchen decor, but it doesn't match our living room decor as much. Do what makes you happy when you look at it. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Thanks for watching!

There’s not really a rule of thumb, it’s dependent on your taste and how much you like to add. You can use about 10 to 14 pieces per product for a 7.5 ft tree if you are wanting to decorate the whole tree and not just half of it. You can use those numbers as a base and build on it from there. 😊
Sorry folks this is not coastal..except for the blue-green colors. I live on Cape Cod and we are a laid back bunch here...no glitz. We use natural materials like shells, pine cones, popcorn, raffia, boat ropes, buoys and foliage cut from our gardens. Basically the total opposite of what you folk did. Yours is lovely but it is big city glam not coastal.

Hi David! I am a new subscriber to your channel and have watched several of your tree decorating videos and want to tell you that I think you do beautiful work! In the last couple years we have added 3 additional trees, bringing our total for this holiday to 4 Christmas trees. Is there a rule or method to apply when decorating 4 trees (all separate in the main living area)? My main tree is traditional reds, whites and greens, silver and golds in my living room. My other trees will be (2) rose golds, pinks and gold tree in my dining room, which can be viewed from the living room. (3) a blues and silver tree and (4) a greens and gold tree, both in separate locations in my family room, which can be viewed from the dining room. ( I hope that’s not too confusing 😂). Should there be a cohesive theme that runs throughout? Or is it ok to decorate them completely independent of one another? Any tips or advice that you can give, is greatly appreciated! Thanks again for sharing your beautiful talents with us! 😊 I am looking forward to many more. God bless!
Our motto is to do what makes you happy in your home. Some people like to have everything that matches, but it doesn't have to match, and it depends on how close the trees are to one another. For example, we typically have a tree in our living room that matches our home decor. But we have another tree in our sunroom full of our kids homemade and collectible ornaments. Sometimes, we put a small themed tree in our kitchen that matches our kitchen decor, but it doesn't match our living room decor as much. Do what makes you happy when you look at it. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Thanks for watching!

Very pretty!! Btw I watched the whole video 😁..abt how long does it actually take you to do a tree like this? I know for viewers you shorten the video, I could watch the the whole thing start to finish but that’s just me..lol.. it takes me abt 2-3 hours per tree but I may just be slow😂
If David is not interrupted or being videoed, it takes him about an hour or less. He's very fast. lol

Sometimes I wonder how much can go on a tree without it falling over. Is there a rule of thumb on how much to order based on the size of the tree?
There’s not really a rule of thumb, it’s dependent on your taste and how much you like to add. You can use about 10 to 14 pieces per product for a 7.5 ft tree if you are wanting to decorate the whole tree and not just half of it. You can use those numbers as a base and build on it from there. 😊

Sorry folks this is not coastal..except for the blue-green colors. I live on Cape Cod and we are a laid back bunch here...no glitz. We use natural materials like shells, pine cones, popcorn, raffia, boat ropes, buoys and foliage cut from our gardens. Basically the total opposite of what you folk did. Yours is lovely but it is big city glam not coastal.
