Very nice brother. That whip looks lovely, well done.
Regarding the strand drops you could check out a video I posted a while back on how I drop my strands with a needle. I'm very happy with my drops as they are close to invisible. And that needle pushed into the thong helps a lot as it prevents the strands from pulling down and out of position when dropping.
It's not the greatest vid I've made but give me a howl if you're having problems.
    Catch you later man!

I made a cow whip with a smaller diameter cord and it is by my favorite whip to crack. It is a 10 foot with a 16 plait overlay. I plaited the whip backwards starting from the point and adding strands. Unlike any other whip, it has the core left inside for more durability. Check out Adam Winriches video on how he makes cow whips

Isn't 325 cord the same thing? It's been around for quite a while. 275 cord is much thinner. It's really not a new cord. But I do agree that the thinner cord does make a more supple whip with a much thinner fall hitch. This should lead to a easier and smoother crackin' whip. Nicely done on the video.

It's almost like a synthetic version of thin strands of roo hide, should be great for fancy fine plaiting patterns on handles etc, looks great, I have a very fine roo hide bullwhip made by joe strain, and you can see the strand dropping on that too. thanks for the video.

Hootyhoo, hey I've got a question for ya; In your opinion; (for a newbie to Whip Cracking ) which do you think would be easier; the Stock Whipped 5'-6'(+-) or the Bull Whip same ft.? I'm thinking about puttin something together for my brother ; I think He's interested in the skill; although he's never cracked one ever since I started making mine & I suspect he may be a bit intimidated; though he would Never admit it. I'm asking several whip builders they're opinions so be frank. Lastly; what for your every day go to do you prefer? Stock or Bull? I guess length is probably a factor as well... I'm looking for your opinion on comfort....
Thanks in advance for your responce

dark96744 definitely worth a shot. I would suggest flattening them first as well, there are multiple tutorials if you want to look it up. Also some brands of 550 have much smaller diameters than others so those could work as well.

My first attempt with this cord was a bust. I need more patience, but I also don't like how light the whip feels. I might try it another build, but I think I'm just hooked on the 550 style, as it feels more powerful, and stronger as sometimes I swing with my whips. Thanks nick!.

I made a miniature 3 foot pocket snake whip out of some 1mm nano cord, it's 16 plait with a ball chain core and about as thick as a pen. With an 8 inch fall and an 8 inch cracker, its great for self defense. Also good for keeping rowdy goats away...

hey Nick, love your channel. I have been following for about a year now. Just finished a 16 plait 6 ft. whip. It came out very good for my first one. I had a problem with 55 cord for my fall(getting the needle through). so, I used my 3/8 core and I think its too heavy about a 18" fall with 8 inch cracker. I really have to swing it to make it crack. I ordered the jig perma needle and when they arrive I will replace the fall. Thanks again for all the great info..

Awesome nick,is it just as strong as 550 paracord, my whip I got has a steel handle in it with shot load an is 10-ft, the hill knot is a pineapple style, does it hurt paracord whips if they get wet slightly from cracking on damp grass,it really try not to until the sun has come out for a while, I've noticed that mine after it drys afterwards it's stiff down the tail towards the fall. When I crack it like a day or two later it still does as its supposed to.

I am an ordinary guy who really likes your channel for it’s tutorials and I greatly appreciate your willingness to spread your techniques in whip making. That said, I am really looking forward to more videos where you explore making whips with this new type of paracord. I understand that craftsmanship cannot be rushed, but I am excited to see what other whip designs you come up with using this paracord and I hope you will show us on your channel.
That said, this video immediately sparks several questions in my mind. The increased plait number does make it better for fancy plaiting, but I am curious if you are just using this smaller paracord just for the overlay of this whip? Are there other benefits to a higher plait count besides aesthetics? Does using this paracord for the entire whip would make it heavier than normal after waxing it in paraffin? Are whips made entirely of this material thinner that past whips? How would this material change stock whips or handle knots?
I may just get into whip making after you post a more in depth tutorial video just to answer these questions on my own. Still, I greatly appreciate your artistry and your efforts to make this new paracord available to everyone. Thank you.
