Texas is very big and diverse, most of the Texas is dry and they get very little rain fall and Houston weather may be like Kolkata but not entire Texas, we get snowfall in north and north west Texas.

Texas is not cheap anymore - so big huse+cheap = super outskirts. Bhoot chara r keu okhane thake na. unless ur dad is Vijaymalya - i own't call texas big houses cheap by anyshot. good big house in decent locals are atleat $750K and it's US dollar not Canadian or Aussie dollar. Also property taxes are pretty high compared to some other states. Also if ur not ok with heat and pollen, please be aware. 3 months every year will be absolutely brutal .
Currently I am in New Jersey and i am feeling that Texas is way cheaper in terms of Housing, Petrol, Internet bills, Grocery and many more. Problems stays everywhere we need to compromise something to achieve something.
