Man, I'm neither an RC enthusiast nor a car wash enthusiast, but I accidentally found your channel and am delighted by the care and attention that went into this. I love when I find something that I never even knew existed. Great job, and thanks for sharing this with the world.
You’re welcome and I appreciate the compliment! I got into modeling car washes because I couldn’t find the one I wanted. So I started building all of mine.
bro Washtec made frist gantry car wash. Christ Wash Systems made the first car wash with bent brushes that bend to the shape of the car and made the first rotating dryer. RYKO AT WASHTEC AND CHRIST IS NOTHING BRO
Christ Quantus c165 also has 5 brushes, but the ones in the style are the same size as the ones before and they also bend, but Quantus will wash cars faster, so if many people buy the best program, after 1 hour the 18 cars will be washed
Oh to answer your other question, it’s taken me years to get to this point but I had to teach myself how to work with transformers, pneumatics, wiring schematics, etc and how to replicate parts. I started out with cardboard when I was in middle school lol.
I’m working on a 1:5 scale Ceccato Master, what motors would be best to use for the brushes as they will be pretty big and heavy approximately 4 inches wide when spinning and about 23 inches tall
You can use any motor rated for around 12v that has a long enough shaft but if you need more power, they have worm gear motors you can use. Most of my motors are 12v to 24v and can be DC or AC. I use them for everything from the brushes to the drive motors for the gantry.
If you master making a ceccato master you could make me a scake replica of a ceccato royale in full Mobil colours red and blue :D my fave machine of all time. I'd pay you of course lol.
@@srwilson3s2k14 I’m currently working on a scale model Christ Centus C164T, I’m considering making a second UA-cam channel dedicated to my model car washes and uploading videos of the full wash cycles.
How much does it take to make one of these I would love to buy one with a paycheck, I am a sonnys carwash student and this is cool to see if you can make me one building and stuff programmed that would be awesome, If you want to reach back out lmk!!
I appreciate your response! These models cost me anywhere from 250.00 to 1000.00 or more to build depending on how sophisticated each one is. So far because of limited resources, logistics, and the cost to make them, I have not recently made any that could be sold but I am still working that.
@@ThatWashTechKid Sorry I never got this message. I’ve been busy. I am working towards the goal of being able to build these to sell one day but I have great challenges that I face with that. I’m working on trying to find the solutions I need. Sorry about the delay. It’s been months lol
I hate asking questions because It makes me feel annoying, but how do you make the top brush stay up then come down? 2:do you use ultrasonic mapping for the movement of the brushes?
It’s not annoying at all. Since the photoeyes were not yet added to this wash, the top brush was remote control as were the wash arms. This wash is capable of being programmed with the right equipment but the rest of the sensors were not yet installed.
@@jordonbgaming6274 Sorry I never saw this question. Building these to sell has been extremely difficult as there are lots of obstacles, legal wise and available material wise that I have to contend with. But I hope to one day be able to sell these.

Only question I have is why did you drive it out instead of pulling it with your hand? Is there a reason for that?
The car was not charged and I didn’t have time to wait for it to dry out so I could charge it.
How did you make the brushes
Do you program the wash cycle or do you just control everything one by one?
This wash was controlled one by one using a fabricated control board.
