I had three Mitsu videos in the 90's to the early millenium. They were absolutely brilliant and bullet proof. The FF and Rewind like you have In the video I can vouch for!
Possible mix of SP/EP recorded content on that tape. That's why the counter numbers went down faster, but the speed of the mechanism itself remained the same.
My Panasonic PV-8553K VCR Is As Rebadged As The VCR King's Panasonic PV-V4523 VCR. And Mines Rewinds And Fast Forwards Between 1 Minute 45 Seconds And 2 Minutes 30 Seconds.
I imagine this would be potentially damaging to older tapes, just shred the carbon right off the tape itself as it rubs against the video drum at those speeds. Certainly not something would want it your a VHS collector.
Bloody hell, sounds like a washing machine! Mine's a Aiwa, and I thought THAT was fast.

@giggleblaggle The first section of the tape is in LP, and the rest was in SP - still, this is the fastest I've ever seen!
Wow, that's probably the fastest fast forwarding/rewinding I've ever seen!
I think they made seconds smaller just to show how fast is it to FFW/RW VHSes
One best mecanism vcr vhs made, very fast ,silence 😮
AWESOME!
Holy mother that is FAST! Wow!
you should open it up and show the tape how fast it goes from front to back
My Admiral/Sharp VCR fast forwards and rewinds exactly that fast.
You should hear my Panasonic VCR and DVD player. The VCR sounds like a jet engine when rewinding and fast forwarding.
i thought it gonna Explode xDDD
I can top that. Newer Panasonic VCRs, specifically, the ones that can't record in LP, can rewind a T-120 tape in 45-50 seconds
Yeah.... That's how POWEFUL this thing is! XDD
That thing is scary fast!!
Panasonic NV-J30 HQ - it took nearly 6 minutes to rewind 180 minute VHS tape (E-180)
That's amazing! How old is that VCR?
My vcr is like but the model is the Mitsubishi HS-U595 with oc 400 or something
That's just scary, but awesome!
This sounds like the spindle of a lathe
My LG is a bit slower than that for RW or FF its one of the later ones with DVD combo but still thats very quick!
Does it have index search feature?
@Ih8escalators Qual é o modelo do seu vcr?
It’s very fast. I think my Sharp can do it just as fast, it also has LP and EP mode
dude is this vcr only available in japan? is there a europian equivalent recorder? what players have the same rewind speed? please help dudes???

VCR used Agility!
Rewind speed went way up!

Wait is this the ferrari of VCRs?
lol i have that vcr to and i hooked it up and every thing and it works
Holy piss, what model is this? Do you know? I collect VHS tapes, and my VCR is slow at rewinding (though faster than my older VCR).
thought it was a jog shuttle dial
Chuck Norris's VCR.
fastest rewinder
My Sharp VCR rewinds a 6 hour tape in 60 seconds. Faster than yours? I wonder...

LOL!!! I have this same VCR!!!!!!! Still fucking works. Fucking great!!! xDDD
I think my Sony might be faster. :)
OH SH*T WE SET THE FLUX CAPACITOR TOO FAST
OH SHI--- :Multiverse Explodes:
rewind is fast
Guessing this is a hs-hd2000u
The fancy silver D-VHS one? Yeah this doesn't look like it. This one looks more like a HS-U445/575 or equivalent.
You should watch my video, my VHS is pretty fast too...
My LG is about the same speed
fuck that's like 7X faster then mine.
The a500 is 10% faster than the a450.
