Apparently, he wrote his lyrics in exercise books and note pads, and when the album was done he'd burn them so they'd never end up on e-bay. Or whatever passed for e-bay back then. {:o:O:}
I loved TSC after starting with The Jam , Weller grew and brought us somewhere new. He then moved on and did Wild Wood which couldn't of happened without TSC.
Excellent. I'm an old progressive rock fan, but I always liked The Style Council and Paul Weller more than The Jam. And the Jam were brilliant. {:o:O:}
Feel a little disappointed. I kept hoping that Mick would hop on that Hammond that constantly appeared in the shots with Paul, and do a bit of noodlin'.
It aways seemed to me like TSC was about Weller gettin' his "Sinatra" Classic Pop fantasies out!...and considering how much The Jam meant to me, it's ALWAYS going to be remembered as a big letdown! Though, some of the music was real quality.
Always liked Paul Weller and his song writing. Thanks for another great post, STV!!

The Style Council have been sidelined a bit by history and by the quality of Weller’s solo work.
They were a good team.
The Man

I'd be interested to hear what Mr Weller has to say about todays media.. .
