Maybe this would be useful: As I listen through earphones for my privacy, the sound balance does matter as bangs hurts my eardrums, and here's a sound engineering fix I learned in Filmmaking/TV production classes; place the mic up away from where you're shuffling and hitting the table, closer to your mouth than it is to the cards: pinned on your collar if you've got a lavalier mic, or up on a shelf at your mouth level if on a mic stand. So your mic is further from the cards noise than it is from your voice, which has a very nice timbre, pleasant to listen to. If it's your iphone mic and you can't separate the camera from the mic, get it up off the table in front of you, like on a shoebox or pile of books and a thick layer of cushy towel to muffle the intense thwacking and hitting noises. Also, that would get a straight-on view of your face instead of from under your chin, though there is no bad angle of you. If that's useful to you, great; if not, maybe someone else might find it useful for their productions.
