I can't believe you put Super Mario Kart on this list! I was thinking the other day about games that are deceptively hard, and SMK is one. You pretty much have to play two player co-op to win those higher level GP races because the computer has such an unfair advantage.
I was about to say the same thing lol. I disagree about needing a second person but I'm also old and was a teen when this launched so I had all kinds of time to learn the tracks. Still a punishingly difficult and unfair game on 150cc.
A neat trick if you’re going for the most points. Super Mario All-Stars, in SMB and SMB:TLL if you grab the axe exactly when the timer hits 000 in the fortress levels, you’ll get a 1,000 unit time bonus. This also works on the arcade version of Vs. SMB and the Famicom Disk version of SMB2, but doesn’t work on the NES and FDS versions of SMB because you don’t get a time bonus when you beat a fortress level. This doesn’t work on any other levels. I just checked.
Yeah it kind of pissed me off, Retroarch would dump the input when a game would play, and I made it for my dad, it was kind of my last big gift to him for his birthday before he passed away. I built it, customized it, and slammed damn near everygame from his childhood on it, so he could relive those moments again, and it didn't work. Sometimes I still lose sleep over that.
The SNES Final Fantasy 2 was just an easy version of Final Fantasy 4. After playing the PS or Game Boy Advance versions of the original Final Fantasy 4,you could tell the difference between the two.
These are my top 10 easy Super NES games: 1. Kirby Superstars 2. Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest 3. Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars 4. Street Fighter Alpha 2 5. Super Mario Kart 6. The Death and Return of Superman 7. Tetris Attack 8. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time 9. Super Mario World 10. Super Bomberman
Kirby is so OP in every game it is easy as F. I started out with the first dreamland on GB you couldn’t copy powers. Played the NES version and was like wtf this is cake. Except that side scrolling vampire at the end he was a mofo. Since then Kirby has been a beast, literally smash bros series nerfed him, should be able to just swallow anyone end the battle and start the next one with thier power 😂
People give Mystic Quest to much hate. That game is charming and fun with an absolutely banger of a soundtrack. I agree with most of your picks however beat em ups have always been difficult for me at least, mostly cause I played them alone. Wonderful video as always brother. Keep up the fantastic work.
Bro, as a man who completed FFMQ it's literally the perfect Android/IOS game to take with you anywhere. I did on deployment and it was dope. Ppl rag on it, but on my phones emulator, I will say it's one of the games that has longevity!
you should mention the top 3 Final Fight games include the NES game "Mighty Final Fight" with levels (barely customizable though) and it's highly advanced in the graphics department ! Only TMNT Tournament Fighter challenges it on NES IMO
I got mighty final fight for $5 in the 90s at a pawn shop. I had the snes versions so I grabbed it up having never seen it before. Graphically it is awesome, but I think you leveled up too. It was a great game though, I always liked the Thrasher sprite. 😂
I hated Mystic Quest. After playing FF1, I played every JRPG I could get my hands on and then came FF Mystic Quest. I wasted 1 1/2 months allowance buying that garbage. I wish I had just rented it.
Beating Super Mario Kart 150cc is far from easy. I forgot about the Power Rangers game, good choice. Expected Mickey's Magical Quest to be on the list.
LOL, Cobra Triangle. Did I mention that game is hard. OK, so we need to have a discussion about Mario All Stars on SNES. I'm stubborn and refuse to count that game as a SNES game, rather than just ta port of the NES games. Yes, those games are on a super nintendo cart and I guess technically a super nintendo game. My brain see's it as NES games on the SNES, and not a new SNES IP....II know I'm weird and in the minority on this one. I'll throw one at you. F1 ROC: Race of Champions. It's still cheap, it looks and plays like F-zero or Mario Kart. You upgrade your vehicle after every race or two and if you don't win at the end of the season you can play another season and keep your upgrades.
This was the first video of yours I've watched that didn't make some bullshit shocking shit take. Keep that up and I might subscribe. You did miss Magical Quest starting Mickey Mouse but other than that... Pretty solid.
I mean, opinions are always going to be flowing from me, and nobody can change that. If you like what you see, you like what you see, if you don't, then you don't, and that's perfectly fine.
SNES Final Fantasy 2 was just a easy version of Final Fantasy 4. After playing the PS or Game Boy Advance versions of original Final Fantasy 4,you can tell the difference between them.
Power Rangers was fun but IMO it should have two player. Also there was a Power Rangers fighting game on the SNES. And the lack of two player and Guy was the reason I never bothered getting Final Fight 1 on SNES though I owned Final Fight 2 and Final Fight 3.
I LOVE Final Fight, but honestly, most gamers I know have not finished the game, yet you say you breezed through it, and have even put it on an EASY list. That seems a bit odd to me. Has everyone you know finished the game with EASE, as well as yourself?
I'm not saying I breezed through it lol. I'm just saying it's approachable with a decent difficulty scale for what it is. All games have established difficulty that is subjective. I could have put Waldo's Great Search on here, maybe even Mario Paint, or Mario is Missing, but I wanted something with substance :)
For a more difficult challenge try beating Final Fight without using continues. I think this is how the game should have been made to make it a challenge. Same with Turtles in Time...play it on hard with 3 lives and don't use a continue.
no way is final fight easy maybe the first couple stages but with only 3 continues your lucky to make it to the boss of the night club who is just going to annihilate you with his gun
One of the great things about Mario games is that it's usually semi-simple to get through the base game (with some roadbumps on the way), but then there will usually be additional content that will suck the patience out of people looking for a difficult challenge (such as the Star levels of SBW - looking at you, Tubular level). That way, people of all skill levels can find something to enjoy.
100% agree! That's why I put it on this list. It would be easy for me to say Waldo's Great Search because you can beat it in like 30 minutes tops, but I wanted games with substance.
I'd say Mario RPG. I played the Switch version which is as far as I know identical to the SNES game and I found it incredibly easy for an RPG game, very fun though
Once a dude 6th grade told me he was gonna give me Power Rangers on SNES before he moved away. He never gave it to me. The worst lie of my youth maybe... still have a empty spot in my heart where that Power Rangers game hsould have been. I watched the OG show in canada from the Trini running up the mountain episode up to the arrival of that Pink Ranger in the 2nd gen with Adam, Rocky & AISHA
Great video as always, well-edited, funny, relatable, informative! I always liked the great cave offensive in Kirby super star. It’s a fun 2P adventure game. I was surprised to see Final Fight on this list. I always thought it was tough, granted I haven’t played it too much and I’m probably just bad at it.
An excellent addition to the list would be The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. It is a fun, easy game that is easy to remember where everything is, and you can beat the entire game in 1 weekend.
The extra levels in both versions of Yoshi's Island and the secret levels in the GBA remaster are less forgiving than the main levels. Poochy Ain't Stupid is infuriating (no matter how much I otherwise like that dog), Endless World of Yoshis take plenty of time (exclusive to the GBA remaster), and Kamek's Revenge is no slouch.
For those who don't know and Fortefyre hasn't played this; but after the US got a version of Final Fantasy 4 made more forgiving, Japan received their own exclusive Final Fantasy 4 Easy Type that's the easiest FF4 in existence. In fact, the strange version of Zeromus (Zeromus EG) that you can fight in FF4 GBA and PSP is originally from that Easy Type.
Back in the day rented Super Bowling and was pleasantly surprised how quick i adjusted to the bowling mechanics. And fun game to boot. Took me 2 days(morning to evening) to finish Yoshi's Island. Ninja Turtles Yesssssss.
Great list of games! Very nostalgic stuff. It completely takes me back to the very good old days of gaming. If you may, hopefully you can do a video regarding your top ten best looking graphics for the SNES and NES. It would be intriguing to see/hear your thoughts/opinion on this topic. Great work man! 💪
1 Super Mario rpg 2 super Mario world 3 James Bond jr 4 pilot wings 5 true lies 6 separation anxiety 7 Stargate 8 Aladdin 9 super star wars 10 super Mario kart
There's a rather easy Super Famicom game called Henpokorin Adventure. Literally impossible to die there and the timer running out doesn't result in anything that punishing.
For me Super Mario Allstars the Lost Levels and Mario Card the Star Traks are still very challenging And I never ever beat Final figther 1 2 and 3 no Problem but 1 bents me into submission

The controls on SNES Final Fight were so clunky it made the game frustrating to me. Final Fight 2 was a breeze compared to the first one.
Mighty Final Beats em both imo. Final Fight 2 though is affordable in japanese ... or was it FF3 that was cheaper?
